Since Kim Tate hired Nicky to take care of her grandchildren, viewers of Emmerdale have started to be wary of him.
Gabby Thomas, portrayed by Rosie Bentham in Emmerdale, has had bad luck with men after being spurned by Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) and more recently, newcomer Nicky (Lewis Cope). In recent scenes, Gabby popped a bottle of champagne to toast a productive day at work before leaning in to kiss the nanny. But much to the businesswoman’s horror, she was turned down, and things only got worse when Dawn (Olivia Bromley) saw it all.
The plot involving Gabby and Nicky is still undetermined, and viewers are still in the dark about who he really is.
Many people believe him to be “too good to be true,” and others think he is not who he claims to be.
Fans have been speculating about what will happen ever since he arrived.
A curious development, though, is that one astute fan believes Nicky turned down Gabby because they are actually related.
They claimed Nicky could be Gabby’s long-lost brother after her dad Ashley (John Middleton) had an affair while still married to Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy).
Taking to Facebook, one fan theorised: “Years ago, when Ashley first started showing signs of Alzheimer’s, there was a woman (the wife of another vicar) who was stalking him.
“If I remember correctly, she got him into bed, then not long after disappeared. Could this be her and Ashley’s son, come to find his sister Gabby?”
When the theory emerged, Colette O’Hagan said: “Ashley could have another child?”
Some fans believe Nicky is investigating Gabby and Jamie’s mother Kim (Claire King) in order to get the villain back on the scene.
The actors who play Gabby and Nicky recently spoke with Express.co.uk and other media outlets to discuss their most recent plot.
Jamie might visit the village again, according to Rosie, because “there are still many unanswered questions.”
It would be chaos if Jamie came back, the soap star admitted.
