A handful of Emmerdale’s most recognizable characters passed away last year, and the drama is about to lose a newer resident.
In 2022, the ITV soap opera saw the departure of several characters, including Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter’s Isobel Steele) and Liv Flaherty. According to recent reports, Marcus Dean (Darcy Gray), a recent addition to Emmerdale, will also be leaving the drama and has already recorded his farewell scenes.
It appears that Marcus and her lover Ethan Anderson (played by Emile John) will be breaking up permanently after recently experiencing difficulties in their relationship.
Marcus will bid the Dale family farewell, according to a source with the soap opera.
They said in a statement to The Sun that Marcus’ stay in the community “came to a natural end.
“The door has been left open, but Darcy is eager to expand his wings.”
According to the publication, the actor has completed filming his final scenes and will be leaving the serial opera next month.
The persona is a recent addition to the community; he joined as villainous Pierce Harris’ (Jonathan Wrather) long-lost son.
When the townspeople saw he was very different from his rapist father, they persuaded him to stay.
Marcus has found happiness with Ethan more recently, although their relationship has lately hit a rough point.
It happened as Marcus was being sexually attacked by Ethan’s lawyer boss Greg (Daniel Betts).
The pair separated as a result, and Marcus’ impending departure seems to imply they won’t be reconciling.
Will they part ways amicably and remain friends?
A number of celebrities left the program last year, and the horrific storm in October claimed many lives.
Liv and Harriet Finch were among the victims of the plot, which appeared as the soap opera celebrated its 50th anniversary (Katherine Dow Blyton).
Faith passed away after battling cancer, and Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), who had been shot by Kyle Winchester earlier in the year, also passed away.
Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) recent storylines have captured the attention of interested spectators.
Since their breakup from Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), who had an affair with Al, Paddy has been struggling.
His mental health has been worse in recent episodes, and he will soon be the focus of a tragic suicide story.
His family was concerned last week when he abruptly left the area without letting anyone know where he was going.
According to spoilers, Paddy will return to his town the following month and, unbeknownst to his closest friends, will say a few veiled goodbyes before going once more to try to take his life.
Emmerdale will resume on ITV on Monday at 7.30 p.m.
