Fans of Emmerdale were incensed when Chas forbade her sister-in-law Moira from going to Faith’s funeral.
Wednesday, October 26’s Emmerdale episode revealed to Chas that Faith had committed suicide and that Moira was aware of her plans.
Chas was indignant and barred Moira from the funeral. Fans, however, were furious with Chas because they claimed that while she was with her secret lover Al, she wasn’t there for her mother.
Emmerdale: Chas finds out the truth about Faith’s death
Faith learned earlier this year that her cancer had come back and was terminal.
Her daughter-in-law Moira was the first person she told, and she begged her not to tell Cain or Chas.
Eventually, Faith revealed her diagnosis to her family, and Chas was upset that she had told Moira first.
Faith was terrified that she would become confused as her cancer spread to her brain over time.
Faith decided to take her own life so she could have some control.
She revealed her strategy to Moira and demanded that she keep it a secret.
While keeping her word, Moira had mixed feelings about it.
Faith had a final day with her friends and family earlier this month before saying her covert farewells.
She booked a spa day for her daughter Chas. Chas, however, took advantage of the opportunity to spend time with Al, with whom she has been having an affair for months.
Faith assured Moira that she would still be present for a while when she became concerned that she would carry out her plan.
However, Faith did commit suicide that day.
When Moira learned that Faith had given Sarah a sentimental necklace, she realized something was off.
She spoke with Cain right away, and the two of them hurried to the Woolpack.
When Moira and Cain learned what Faith had done, Cain stayed by his mother’s side as she passed away.
When Moira was compelled to admit that Faith had intended to commit suicide, Cain started to question how she had known something was wrong with his mother.
While they were at the spa, Al turned her phone to silent, causing Chas to miss Faith’s passing.
Chas, however, learned in tonight’s episode that Faith didn’t pass away from cancer.
Chas bans Moira from Faith’s funeral
Chas became upset and went into the pub’s back room after talking with vicar Charles and Cain about Faith’s funeral.
Faith committed suicide, and Cain was compelled to tell his sister the truth about it.
Chas was incensed when she learned that Moira was aware of Faith’s scheme.
Chas rejected Moira’s attempts to defend herself, saying that if Moira had revealed Faith’s scheme, she might have been able to stop her or at the very least be present when she passed away.
Faith refused Moira’s requests to tell her and Cain, according to Moira.
Faith tried to keep Chas away when she passed away, according to Cain’s explanation of what transpired the day she died.
Chas, however, was disgusted with Cain and Moira and would not accept it.
Chas revealed how Faith actually passed away to her husband Paddy when he got home.
He could not speak. Chas, however, decided to forbid Moira from attending Faith’s funeral.
Fans were outraged when Chas pointed out that while she spent most of her time with Al, Moira was the one who was there for her.
