Fans of Emmerdale will witness Rishi Sharma running for his life after discovering that his home has been broken into.
The recent events haven’t been good for Rishi Sharma (played by Bhasker Patel), as his wife Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarkar) left him for Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), and daughter Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) left the village to begin a new life. The beloved Emmerdale character will worry that he is being watched while he is alone in his large home.
In upcoming scenes, Rishi returns home but still feels uneasy in his own home and is convinced that someone has broken in.
He discovers evidence of a visitor the following day when he discovers someone eating his crisps.
He calls on his son Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) to come and take a look but is unable to find any sign of his intruder.
Jai, however, is of the opinion that Rishi is merely making excuses for his loneliness and that no one has broken into the house.
Rishi is not alone in feeling isolated and alone because the men of Emmerdale will gather the following week to discuss their lives in the wake of Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) attempted suicide.
Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Marlon, and Bear are suffering as a result of their constant worry about Paddy; they are all aware that Paddy has a long road to recovery.
When Paddy gets home and reveals he has an appointment with a therapist, they feel encouraged.
The following day, Marlon makes an effort to hide his desire for Paddy to get more professional assistance. He is relieved to hear Paddy making another call to a counseling service.
Marlon makes an effort to cheer up his friend with zombie treats after learning Paddy must wait a two-week period to see someone.
The following day, Marlon is devastated that he can’t reach his best friend and confides in Nate (Jurrell Carter) and Jimmy King (Nick Miles) his worries that he’ll never be able to connect.
In contrast to Jimmy, who acknowledges that the social environment of the pub is his therapy, Chas tells Marlon that women are typically better at managing their emotions than men because they talk to friends.
Soon after learning this information, Marlon takes action, and in a first for Emmerdale, Friday’s episode will only feature the male cast.
The men of the village stay behind for a late-night lock-in as the Woolpack’s front doors are locked, hoping to use the excuse as a platform for conversation.
With the hope that Paddy will join them, Cain, Jimmy, Liam, Bob, Charles, Sam, Nate, Marlon, and Bear begin their evening.
The men start playing a friendly game of darts as they start talking, starting with their childhood nicknames and life experiences that have troubled them or that they need to get off their chests.
Will Paddy have the guts to follow them and get the help he requires?
Perhaps Rishi’s anxiety about being alone will motivate him to socialize more with his fellow villagers.
Rishi might actually be dealing with an intruder if there is something much more sinister going on.
