The recent tragic scenes involving Whitney Dean and Zack Hudson have devastated EastEnders viewers, and the nightmare is still going on for the two.
Since she had to give birth to their stillborn child, Whitney (Shona McGarty’s character) has been pushing Zack (James Farrar) away. While the Square has made an effort to help her, a distraught Whitney has been isolating everyone because she is unable to face reality. The EastEnders couple’s tragedy is expected to worsen as they learn that their baby’s ashes are ready for collection, according to BBC spoilers. Zack is compelled to confront Whitney as she continues to hide.
Whitney learned this week that she would have to return to work despite her desire for additional compassionate leave in the wake of her loss.
She was indignant to learn that the loss wouldn’t be considered a bereavement because her baby was less than 24 weeks old.
Whitney will return to the stall the following week, but to make matters worse, her first day back will fall around Mother’s Day.
Things are more difficult for Whitney because her coworkers frequently discuss the day.
She benefits from being busy, but she later receives a broken phone call informing her that Peach’s ashes are ready for pick-up.
When Zack tries to talk to her, she becomes overwhelmed and rushes away, accusing everyone of forcing her to return to work too soon.
Whitney asserts that she is not yet prepared to say goodbye to Peach when Zack catches up with her at home.
The market trader is evasive when Zack tries to discuss having a memorial for Peach.
They make plans to pick up their daughter’s ashes together, but Whitney quickly thinks of an excuse to put the task off.
She quickly notices Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) having a medical emergency and takes advantage of the opportunity to leave Zack.
When Whitney and Lily return to the Slater home, a fight breaks out because Whitney goes completely overboard about protecting Lily’s unborn child.
Zack is battling his feelings as he sits with Peach’s ashes in the meantime.
Later, he runs into a distraught Whitney and confronts her about allowing him to handle the tragic job alone.
Whitney might at last acknowledge how much she is struggling as a result of him.
Could the two decide to temporarily leave Walford?
It’s possible that Whitney has suffered from returning to work and attempting to live a normal life on the Square.
She may talk things over and decide they need a break since Zack was also hurt by her actions.
It appears that the two are both secretly hoping to try things out as a couple once more.
Could their sorrow help them get closer to one another? Whitney has already turned down Zack’s offer of financial assistance so that she can take more time off from work.
He will probably come to an understanding with her once he confronts her about his own emotions, and they might even try again with their romance.
