On Christmas Day, after learning that Lola Pearce had a terminal brain tumor, Jay Brown proposed to her.
After learning heartbreaking news about her cancer diagnosis, Lola Pearce (played by Danielle Harold) is attempting to make as many memories as she can while she still has the ability to. Although Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) wants to give his fiancée the wedding day of her dreams, the BBC soap opera’s wedding will not go exactly as planned.
In the episodes airing the following week, Lola is anxious about her hen party because she thinks she will look terrible.
Jay requests that Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) make her fiancée glow.

The bride informs Kim’s that she is worried when the morning of Jay and Lola’s wedding arrives.
Lola starts to worry about the future after Kim and Denise have finished the bride’s makeover, but the influencer tells her to enjoy every moment.
In another part of the square, Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton), who accidentally reveals that Billy is off doing something for Lola, has a heart-to-heart with Jay.
Will Emma accept his invitation to Lola’s wedding after Billy finds her and introduces himself to her?
Jay soon shows up and is furious with Billy for betraying his bride.
Kim takes Lola to the hospital on the way to the event so that she can be examined.
Jay shows up at the registry office prepared to get married, but he soon becomes distraught when he learns Lola has vanished.
Lola surprises Kim by admitting she can’t marry Jay today when they are back at the hospital.
After this week’s encouraging developments from the doctors, Lola might learn that her prior scan missed something.
If she learns that her cancer hasn’t improved on her wedding day, the single mother may decide not to wed Jay.
Unaware, Jay waits anxiously for Lola to arrive; however, when she does, she asks if she can speak to him in private.
