The Queen Vic wedding nobody saw coming!
Tonight’s episode of EastEnders will feature the start of Alfie Moon’s (Shane Richie) surprise wedding, and the BBC soap has just unveiled these fresh photos as a sneak peek.
His ex-wife Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) was surprised when a woman named Megan (Jennifer Biddall) showed up at the Queen Vic earlier this week to remind Alfie that he was about to get married.
Kat was convinced that Alfie was planning to defraud the elderly woman, Joan, of her savings as he insisted on taking her to a care facility where she would meet his bride and reveal that Megan worked as a nurse there. The reality, though, was much more straightforward and endearing.
Alfie had been going to the residents for a while when he discovered that a sick Joan had never been able to celebrate her own special day. For her, this wedding would therefore be a mock version. Before giving Alfie the earrings that Joan had been ogling all day, Kat suggested that they hold the ceremony at the bar rather than the square.
Alfie and Kat now learn that Joan’s friends from the care home are keeping a secret as the special day approaches. What is it, though, and will it stop the wedding? Will Alfie’s action influence Kat in any way?
Even though Kat is engaged to Phil Mitchell, he has spent the past few weeks trying to win her heart (Steve McFadden). But now that Phil is gone and Kat is not pleased to learn that Alfie (Letitia Dean), her fiance, has been in contact with his own ex-girlfriend, Sharon Watts, perhaps Kat will start to fall for Alfie once more?
