Despite the fact that EastEnders’ spectacular Christmas drama has already begun, the news of Mick Carter’s likely demise has not yet really settled in the Square. Naturally, the tragedy wasn’t quite Walford’s final dramatic situation in 2022.
The Albert Square inhabitants who do feel up to a party are forced to utilize their own homes because The Vic is still closed due to Mick Carter’s (Danny Dyer) tragic assumed drowning. However, this will cause problems because a party at the Slaters goes horribly wrong, resulting in the hospitalization of numerous EastEnders residents. What will happen once 2023 gets under way on the Square?
Locals from Walford gather at the Slaters to ring in the new year in yet-to-air scenes from the BBC soap opera.
Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) is at the party in full swing, but Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) is in her bedroom worrying that he could change his mind.
Harvey is showing Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) a box the size of a ring when Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) comes down and makes a bold guess.
While Stacey is more anxious that her mother might say yes, a terrified Jean wonders that Harvey might be about to pop the question.
Do they, however, have the wrong idea about Harvey’s plans?
Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) arrive with a bottle of whisky for Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), who is unsettled.
After being shocked to see the person she has fallen in love with, Eve ends up urging them to stay and begins courting Nish.
As the clock approaches midnight, Nish tries to locate Suki, but Eve passes out unexpectedly.
While Jean passes out in Harvey’s arms, Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) hurries out to the bathroom.
Lily has also collapsed in the corridor, Bobby informs the others, and when the paramedics show up, they order everyone to leave the house immediately.
It comes out that the house had a carbon monoxide leak.
Later at the hospital, a worried Stacey waits for Lily to get better while she lies by her bedside.
After chatting to cagey Eve, Nish is certain that the Slaters will file a lawsuit regarding the boiler.
He’s determined to coerce Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) into making a deal on the Arches in the interim.
Nish is furious when Ben tells him the arrangement is off when he is confronted about it later.
Suki advises Nish not to confront the Mitchells after overhearing Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) yelling at Sharon Watts (Letitia Deandoor. )’s
She advises him to employ charm instead of force.
Later, Nish grudgingly apologizes for being inconsiderate to Ben and Lola Pierce (Danielle Harold).
Then, an enraged Harvey chastises Nish for using his wealth to divert attention from the horrifying Slater boiler incident.
He openly humiliates Nish and becomes enraged that Nish is to blame for the problematic boiler.
Later, while Suki answers a call from the health and safety investigator, a furious Nish yells about Harvey.
The Panesars show in to speak with Jean and Harvey when they are enjoying a cozy conversation.
Nish gives Suki the advice to increase the Slater’s rent during their talk.
Who might have been at blame for the impending disaster?
And may Suki and Eve’s expected argument lead to a discussion about their relationship?
