On EastEnders the following week, a dramatic showdown brings Kheerat one step closer to learning the truth about what Ravi actually did.
What a challenging few months for the Panesar family.
Only a few weeks have passed since Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) engaged in another passionate kiss, which resulted in Suki’s son Kheerat catching the two in bed together (Jaz Deol).
Despite Kheerat’s encouragement for his mother to be herself, she acknowledged that she had difficulties as a result of years of emotional abuse from her ex-husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry). Fans were concerned that “Sukeve” would never become a thing because she refused to work on her relationship with Eve.
In addition, Nish is now free after serving his 20-year sentence and is prepared to reunite with his family. The children were ready to welcome Nish back into their lives because they thought he had accidentally killed the robber while defending the family from a break-in. However, Suki soon revealed a much darker truth to son Kheerat.
Actually, Nish’s estranged wife doesn’t want anything to do with him because he was convicted of killing one of Suki’s male friends whom he thought she was having an affair with.
Suki had left for a business trip to Mumbai when Nish arrived on Albert Square, and she was nowhere to be found. Instead, there was an awkward father-son reunion as When Kheerat and Nish reconnected, Kheerat was required to lie and claim he was unaware of the true cause of his father’s incarceration.
A very awkward family dynamic resulted when an exhausted Kheerat finally told Vinny (Shiv Jalota) and Ash (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) the truth about their father’s time in prison.
Complicated.
As if that weren’t enough, Suki thinks she murdered Ranveer Gulati (Anil Goutam) after he attempted to assault her sexually. In truth, after she struck him over the head with a clock, he was still alive, and Ranveer’s adopted son Ravi (Aaron Thiara) soon put an end to him.
Ravi and Ranveer’s wife Nina were already involved in a covert scheme to steal the money from Ranveer (Hersha Verity). Ravi dismembered his adoptive father’s body, packed it up in a suitcase, and dumped it in a nearby river after unintentionally becoming involved in Suki’s drama.
Now that Ranveer has vanished (obviously! ), Kheerat is growing more and more doubtful about his uncle’s abrupt disappearance. This week, he learns that Ranveer attempted to assault Suki, which puts him one step closer to learning the truth. Additionally, he learns about another explosive secret, which sparks a confrontation in the Queen Vic.
When Nina goes to the police station to report Ranveer missing this week, Ravi is shocked. Why is his secret lover making news about Ranveer’s disappearance, he can’t believe it. The only way they will ever get Ranveer’s money is if they report him missing, but Nina is aware of what she is doing.
When the police approach Ravi in Walford East and inquire about his knowledge of his father’s disappearance, everything becomes complicated. How much longer will the secret remain hidden with the police looking into it?
The most recent development raises Kheerat’s suspicions about his uncle’s whereabouts, especially since Ravi doesn’t appear to care in the least about it.
He arranges for Lily Slater (Lillia Turner), the son of Ravi (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), to take Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) for a milkshake in an effort to learn more.
It goes without saying that this only raises Lily’s hopes that she might have a chance with Nugget, and it’s safe to say that Stacey (Lacey Turner) isn’t too pleased when she learns what Kheerat has done. It’s obvious that it will take a lot for these two to mend their ways after she throws a drink at him for lying to her daughter.
Kheerat informs the rest of the family that Ranveer is missing during the Divali celebrations. Later, he confronts Ravi, expressing his concerns and telling him that he is aware that something is wrong.
Despite Kheerat’s suspicions, Ravi has no plans to go into hiding. He sets up a meeting with Stacey to “talk business,” but the flirtatious entrepreneur can’t help but make another approach.
Over a bottle of wine, the two get to know one another better, and soon he leans in for a kiss!
Meanwhile, Eve is still angry about how her relationship with Suki ended. As a result, she confides in Kheerat about what Ranveer attempted to do to his mother after deciding that he should know the whole truth.
He is obviously shocked and disgusted, but all of a sudden, the timing of Ranveer’s disappearance begins to make more sense. Did his mother play a role in it? Or will he recognize the role Ravi played?
As if one revelation wasn’t enough, Stacey makes a mistake that leads to Kheerat learning that Ravi attempted to kiss her. He approaches the Queen Vic prepared to fight with Ravi, and the two get into a fight that spills onto the Square.
How long will it be before the truth about Kheerat’s murder is revealed once and for all, given that secrets are coming out left, right, and center and Suki is returning to Albert Square?
