Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) was left thoughtful in EastEnders after Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott) offered her the opportunity to come and live with him and wife Helen in Wakefield.
Ryan, as viewers will know, staged his long-awaited comeback earlier this week, after Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) telephoned him and told him about daughter Lily’s pregnancy.
Stacey (Lacey Turner), who’s been struggling to make ends meet as of late, wasn’t too pleased when her ex waltzed back into the square on a mission to find out more about Lily’s situation, but she soon softened and even contemplated accepting Ryan’s offer to financially support their daughter.
Little did she know, however, that Ryan had ulterior motives, with Tuesday’s (February 14) offering of the BBC One soap revealing that the grandad-to-be was intent on making Lily come live with him and Helen, who is keen to have a baby of her own.
Ryan ultimately asked Stacey to contemplate letting Lily make the move to Wakefield but Stacey, as you can imagine, was fuming, with the pair causing quite the scene at the hospital as their little girl attended her first baby scan.
As far as Stacey was concerned, his proposal was out of the question.
Lily, however, later had a conversation with her dad, who offered her the chance to come live with him, telling her that she could have her own room and that she and the baby would want for nothing.
With Lily concerned about the pressure Stacey is under in looking after her, subsequent scenes will see the 12-year-old make a huge decision.
Will she leave the Square with dad Ryan, who is only back for a short stint? Or will Lily opt to stay put in Walford with her mum?
You’ll just have to keep watching to find out, but expect drama aplenty in the coming episodes.
