Phil wrestles with his guilt
Billy turns to Sam for comfort as his upcoming court appearance draws near and Sam gives him moral support.
Phil is struggling with his guilt, and things only get worse when Keeble threatens to pursue the rest of his family if Jimmie doesn’t stop standing up for Billy.
In a precarious position, Phil orders Ritchie to remove Jimmie from Billie’s case.
Lola plans a surprise for Jay
Lola plans a surprise birthday celebration for Jay and persuades Callum to assist her in planning it in the hopes that it will improve their relationship.
Unaware of Jay’s interference, Lola is already moving forward with her plans when he declares he doesn’t want to celebrate this year.
As Lola waits for everyone to arrive at Peggy’s, unaware that Alfie has ruined her plans, Ben and Callum debate whether or not to tell her that Jay doesn’t want to celebrate.
Alfie hatches a new scheme
Alfie discovers that everybody is attending Jay’s surprise party at Peggy’s after failing to attract customers to The Vic.
To profit from this, he lies and says Lola moved the party’s location. Linda confronts Alfie after realizing what is happening and informs him that his plans won’t be accepted at The Vic.
Alfie refuses to listen to Linda’s advice and is determined to fight until the very end.
Phil gets a sinister threat
Shirley uses Billy’s predicament as leverage to demand more money from Sam and threatens to come clean with Phil.
Sam attempts to call her out, but it backfires when Shirley stomps off in search of Phil. They both bump into Jonah, which sets off a tense conversation.
Phil steps in and punches Jonah when he starts to hit Sam. Sadly, this only makes things worse because Jonah leaves Phil with a terrifying threat for the family.
Ben and Callum grow closer
By assisting Vi in leaving her home, Lola hopes to rekindle their conversation with Ben and Callum. Lola also enlists Jay in her scheme.
Callum returns to find Vi being helped by Ben, Jay, and Lola. He and Ben quickly realize that everything was a set-up.
They both acknowledge there are still feelings between them during a tender moment, but Ben’s SOIT officer interrupts with some bad news.
Shirley reveals the truth about Sam
Shirley lets Phil know that Sam has been defrauding him for months as he is still reeling from Jonah’s most recent threat.
Sam tries to defend herself as Shirley accuses Phil that his sister has been playing him the entire time.
Sam turns to Kat and tries to explain why she betrayed Phil, but Kat isn’t buying it. Soon after Kat realizes Sam is to blame for the family’s recent problems, a fight breaks out between them.
At his wits’ end, Phil acts and forces Sam to leave the house.
Sparks fly between Jay and Lola
In their struggle to persuade Jay to celebrate his birthday, Ben and Callum are ultimately compelled to reveal Lola’s surprise.
Lola tries to persuade Jay to have fun as he arrives to the crowd at Peggy’s, but he is forced to pretend to be excited.
When Jay mentions that Lola was the love of his life, they share a touching moment. She soon learns that Jay was already aware of the surprise.
Stacey gives Suki a warning
a romantic Eve admits to Stacey that she and Suki kissed, but she asks her to keep it a secret.
But as soon as Stacey confronts Suki and threatens to make their kiss public if she hurts Eve, she quickly breaks her word.
Following her conversation with Stacey, Suki has a tense exchange with Eve, and a furious Eve quickly realizes what has happened.
Vinny visits his dad
The first scenes of newcomer Nish Panesar on EastEnders will air the following week as Vinny visits him.
Vinny will grill Suki about his father earlier in the week in an effort to get some clarification from her.
Then, when Vinny pays Nish a visit in jail, he is shocked by his warmth. Vinny is more curious as to why he was asked to be there in the first place than he is listening to Nish talk about the past.
Kat is left furious with Alfie
After telling Kat they were going to the museum instead, Alfie drives the boys to the theme park.
When they get back, Tommy tells Alfie that they went to the theme park instead of the museum as they had intended.
An enraged Kat ignores Alfie’s attempts to defend his lies and storms off.
Shirley grows suspicious of Phil
Phil and Shirley have a conversation about recent events at The Vic.
Ritchie informs a distressed Billy that Jimmie can no longer represent him as a guilty Phil looks on, but Shirley notices this.
Shirley notices Ritchie and Phil having a quiet conversation and becomes suspicious. She then decides to investigate further.
Shirley secretly follows Phil after he receives a text from Keeble telling him to meet, gathering evidence against him that she can use against him.
Lola is targeted
Sam will receive the remaining funds from Jonah when he returns with two heavyweights.
In an incident of mistaken identity, they locate Lola in Peggy’s office and coerce her into opening the safe.
Lola struggles and flees, but she is pursued into the party, causing mayhem. Will everybody be alright?
Eve and Suki are nearly caught out
As Eve and Suki get closer, they decide to have dinner at the Panesars on the spur of the moment.
However, a terrified Suki orders Eve to hide when Vinny shows up unexpectedly. Is Vinny going to catch them?
