Following Lily Slater’s (Lillia Turner) discovery that she is pregnant, Ryan Malloy (Neil Mcdermott) from EastEnders might be returning.
As viewers are aware, 12-year-old Lily discovered she was pregnant after ending up in the hospital on New Year’s Day due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
Doctors informed Stacey (Lacey Turner), who then informed the authorities due to Lily’s age, who then had to answer questions from the police.
After receiving some encouraging words from Jean (Gillian Wright), Lily told Stacey the truth about the father of her child, admitting that she had only ever slept with Ricky Mitchell (Frankie Day).
Stacey will then exert every effort to support Lily, who has made it abundantly clear that she does not want anyone to know about the pregnancy, not even her closest family members.
Given that Lily considers market trader Martin Fowler to be her father, Stacey has thought about telling Martin the truth, but the big question is whether her biological father Ryan will find out.
If so, could this possibly result in a comeback?
Fans will remember that Ryan had an affair with Stacey, who later gave birth to his child, and that relationship quickly developed between the two, much to the dismay of Ryan’s then-wife Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks).
The character wanted to raise Lily as a proper father, but he was later written off the show after escaping from Rob Grayson, who had killed Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) after blowing her up.
In the years that followed, Ryan made a few brief appearances, showing up in the Square in 2014 and 2016, before eventually turning himself in to the police on the grounds that Whitney and Lily had visited him in jail.
In late 2016, he made another comeback, telling Whitney that the case had collapsed for lack of evidence, which resulted in his release.
The character started dating a prison guard named Helen, with whom he later got engaged, and we last saw him when he contacted Whitney to wish her a happy birthday last year.
But once Lily’s pregnancy is confirmed, will the fan favorite pay Walford another visit?
