In EastEnders, Freddie Slater’s (Bobby Brazier) beautiful smile was completely erased when Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) admitted that he is not Billy Mitchell’s (Perry Fenwick) son.
The upbeat teen, as viewers are aware, is Little Mo’s (Kacey Ainsworth) child, and after realizing that his mother was dating Billy when he was born, he began to think Billy was his father.
Billy wasn’t sure how to tell Freddie that it’s simply not true when he showed up in the Square earlier this month and claimed to be his son.
Longtime EastEnders viewers will remember that Little Mo was sexually assaulted in 2003 by Graham Foster, whom she mistook for a friend. Later, she gave birth to Freddie, but Billy found it difficult to recognize the child as his own.
Freddie’s biological father is Graham.
But Freddie doesn’t know, and since Billy could go to jail after being falsely accused of killing Malcolm Keeble, the teenager has vowed to do everything in his power to protect the man he thinks is his father.
He got a job at the chippy earlier this week after impressing his boss Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), and he’s been working hard to save as much cash as he can to use for Billy’s legal defense.
He requested a loan from Phil on Wednesday’s (September 28) episode of the BBC One soap opera to pay for a quality brief for Billy. Due to the agreement he made with Keeble (Alison Newman), Phil was unable to assist.
To Phil’s horror, Freddie sought help from Ben (Max Bowden), who connected him with a lawyer by the name of Jimmie.
The hard man chastised Freddie for talking behind his back before dropping the bombshell that Billy isn’t really his father!
Will Freddie react well to the news?
