This week, the theft of a displeased Harvey Monroe’s wallet is attributed to EastEnders Dotty Cotton.
Dotty Cotton’s (Milly Zero) life has not been easy in EastEnders thus far, and things are about to get worse after she is accused of stealing Harvey Monroe’s wallet (Ross Boatman). Harvey, who is missing his daughter who left the Square earlier this year, clashes with the 21-year-old.
Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley), who is aware of official BBC soap opera spoilers, notices that his friend Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman), is not acting like himself.
This week’s scenes show that he hasn’t completely recovered from his daughter Dana Monroe (Barbara Smith) leaving Albert Square.
After a year filled with excitement in Walford, which included a Beale love triangle, Dana departed for Glasgow University in September.
Gillian Taylforth’s sympathetic Kathy Beale makes an effort to cheer up the distraught father and restore his composure.
She insisted he come up with an unusual idea to lift his spirits.
Rocky and Zack Hudson (Gavin Sullivan) later encourage a miserable and uneasy Harvey to begin dating in Peggy’s, the location of so many misguided plans.
They tease him into approaching some of the single women in Albert Square.
Harvey loses confidence after hearing Dotty make fun of and disparage him, though.
Harvey’s bad mood has not changed, despite some of the Square’s kind people’s best efforts.
After seeing the impact her words have had on him, Dotty tries to make amends later in the week.
She tries to apologize to Harvey, but he rejects her because he is still upset about the remarks.
After leaving his seat at the bar, his wallet disappears, which further dampens his mood.
He believes Dotty is responsible based on their interactions thus far.
Dotty is confronted by Harvey, who claims that the boy Cotton stole his wallet.
Dotty adamantly maintains her innocence in front of Rocky and Kathy while denying any involvement in the disappearance.
Harvey decides to take matters further after his awful few days and goes to the police to accuse Dotty of the theft.
Though they aren’t sure who to believe, Rocky and Kathy express concern for both their friend and Dotty.
Will Harvey learn who took his wallet, and if it was Dotty, why did she go to someone she knows if it was her?
How will the grieving father, who still longs for his daughter Dana, deal with his lack of confidence?
