Icon of EastEnders Sharon Watts has experienced plenty of heartache as a result of the men she has chosen, with Keanu Taylor being the most recent to leave her in pieces.
However, Keanu (Danny Walters’ character), who abandoned Sharon (Letitia Dean) in tears and vanished for three years, stormed back into Walford in December 2022. Although Sharon had told him to stay away from her and their two-year-old son Albie Watts, Keanu was eager to get back together with them. Official EastEnders spoilers indicate that the couple intends to put their differences aside and rekindle their romance.
In upcoming scenes, Sharon and Keanu first meet at The Vic, where they later reunite passionately in the restroom after discussing their feelings.
When a frazzled Sharon and Keanu enter the bar, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) greets them with sarcastic remarks, which cause the other patrons to realize what Sharon and Keanu have been up to.
When Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) leaves Keanu a voicemail hinting at their romance in Spain, Sharon is devastated.
Sharon excommunicates Keanu after being grieved by his actions and furious with herself for letting her guard down. Keanu then reluctantly departs The Vic.
He’s devastated that he might have wasted his opportunity to win her over, but will he be successful?
Later, a frustrated Keanu runs into Sharon in the cafe and is shocked when she spills some dirty laundry about him and their connection.
Later, Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), Keanu’s first doorman at Peggy’s, approaches him and asks him to join her Livestream.
Keanu steps in to save the day after some convincing and is a huge success up until a shocked Sam shows up, leaving him frazzled.
Sharon calls Keanu to confess her continued love for him after speaking with Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and asking for some advice.
When Keanu wakes up, he hears Sharon’s message and is relieved that he hasn’t ruined their chance to get back together.
Sharon and Keanu put their differences aside and decide to go on a date that night over at No. 43.
Could this be the couple’s deserved happy ending at last?
Their joy might not last long, however, as Sharon’s plan to purchase the other half of the Vic may have been thwarted, according to Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) have submitted a counteroff for Mick Carter’s (Danny Dyer) half of the Vic, and Linda is about to inform Sharon of this.
With anger, Sharon confronts Nish and Suki about their deceit, but what will they actually say?
On Christmas Day, Mick perished in a dramatic episode after attempting to save Linda after Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) crashed her car off a cliff and into the English Channel.
After learning the truth about his wife Janine’s framing of Linda, Mick performed his brave act and then confessed his love to Linda before exiting the show in a heart-pounding finale where he was left stranded at sea.
Before he passed away, Mick wished for a second chance with Linda, to which she responded, “Yes, that’s all I ever wanted, you’re the love of my life, No one else has ever come close, no one.”
“We’re never going to be apart again,” they declared after exchanging kisses.
