Keanu Taylor, an EastEnders troublemaker, has created quite a commotion since moving back to Albert Square just a few days ago, but could he be about to escalate things even more?
After spending years away from Walford, Keanu (played by Danny Walters) recently made a surprise return to EastEnders. Since his return, the BBC has confirmed that he and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) are secretly cooperating after persuading the Square that they are still archenemies. The romantic history between Keanu and his sister Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf), which was alluded to during Tuesday’s episode, would, however, make Phil genuinely furious. It appears that Keanu could begin using the information to blackmail Sam after he mentioned to Sam that he could easily reveal the information to Phil.
Sam, who is now in Phil’s bad books, tried to console her brother when it was obvious he was upset.
On Christmas Day, the shady Walford villain learned that his engaged wife Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) had kissed Alfie Moon (Shae Richie) while he was away.
Along with being under pressure to prevent Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) from going to prison for a crime DI Keeble (Alison Newman) is trying to blame him for, he is also having trouble hiding the fact that he is working with Keanu.
Phil finally convinced Sam to hear what had happened with Kat.
Sam tried to tell Phil later that she had seen Keanu talking to Kat, thinking that he was trying to set him up with the police, but he told her to stay out of it.
After seeing Keanu leave the garages, she developed more doubts.
She questioned Keanu, “So, five minutes ago you were smelling around his girl and now you’re smelling around his business?”
He replied, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.
“I know what I saw,” Sam remarked before Keanu stated: “I’m out of here.”
“You carry on like this and you will be – in a box,” Sam threatened.
Grilling Keanu for information about what he’s up to, she went on: “So is that why you came back?
“To try and get one over on Phil any way that you can? Come on – out with it.”
“Don’t push me, Sam,” Keanu snapped ominously. “We’ve all go things we don’t want coming out.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Sam asked.
“It means I don’t buy all this caring, sharing Sam stuff all of a sudden,” he replied.
He added pointedly: “You weren’t too bothered about Phil all those months ago, were you?”
As Sam appeared uncomfortable, Keanu continued: “Oh, hit a nerve, have I?”
He continued: “You really don’t want Phil finding out about you and me in Spain.”
Before the episode came to an end, Sam seemed concerned and shocked.
Could Keanu start using Sam to get to Phil while also betraying the Mitchells?
He might only be assisting Phil to keep him off his back so he can go back to Walford and spend time with his son without Phil bothering him in secretly hoping for retaliation.
Although the feuding men appear to have moved past their differences, Keanu might be planning something.
Sam can help Keanu get back at Phil because he now has something to hold over her because he knows she’s worried about Phil finding out about their relationship.
