Seven years ago, the hit film Legend featured the soap opera star.
Lorraine Stanley, a star of EastEnders, was unrecognizable when she appeared with Tom Hardy in a popular film. In the biographical crime thriller Legend, in which West London actor Tom portrayed twins Ronnie and Reggie Kray, the actress who portrays Karen Taylor on the BBC soap opera made an appearance.
The 2015 film, which depicts the criminal lives and relationships of the East London gangsters, is an adaptation of John Pearson’s book The Profession of Violence: The Rise and Fall of the Kray Twins. In the movie, Lorraine played a bartender at the infamous Blind Beggar pub.
Lorraine posted a black and white photo of herself on the Legend set in vintage clothing and posing next to a vintage car on Twitter in September 2015. Lorraine is a far cry from her EastEnders character Karen Taylor in this photo.

She also tweeted an image from the previous year showing Tom Hardy dressed as Ronnie Kray and herself as the pub barmaid. Lorraine, 46, dressed in a fancy updo, a cardigan, and flawless makeup, has been transformed into a 1960s fashion icon.
While pretending to be the Kray twin, Tom Hardy, on the other hand, appears to be a handsome thug. The role of Karen Taylor in EastEnders is Lorraine Stanley’s most well-known one, and she excels in it. Her character Karen is well known for her no-nonsense demeanor, messy hair, and for wearing her bra strap halfway down her arm all the time.
That is why we adore her. But the soap actress appeared in a number of other well-known television shows and motion pictures before she finally made it to Albert Square in 2017. She has appeared on Call the Midwife, two episodes of EastEnders, Holby City, Casualty, The Bill, and London’s Burning among other TV shows. Lorraine has appeared in a number of films on the big screen, including Suffragette, Made in Dagenham, and London to Brighton.
