Ian Beale made a short return to EastEnders last year for the funeral of legendary stalwart Dot Cotton.
Ian Beale star Adam Woodyatt has perhaps dropped the biggest hint that he’s not returning to Walford any time soon. EastEnders fans were teased last year when Ian made a cameo during Dot Cotton’s (June Brown) funeral with many viewers speculating that this signalled a possible return for the character to the BBC soap in the near future.
The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star has liquidated X L Management, Adam’s main account for his television earnings, according to reports.
Adam is the main shareholder in the firm while his ex-wife Beverly also has shares in the business.
According to the declaration of solvency filed at Companies House and reported by The Sun, the company’s debts includes owing HMRC £260,720 and accruals £20,012.
There is also an amount owed to their directors loan accounts.
The solvency declaration states the shareholders are due a £173,312 tax rebate.
There will be an expected surplus of £413,666 once the account has been settled.
“[We] do solemnly and sincerely declare that we have made a full enquiry into the affairs of this company, and that, having done so, we have formed the opinion that this company will be able to pay its debts in full together with interest at the official rate within a period of 12 months, from a commencement of the wind up,” the report documented.
Adam still has two other businesses Caledfwlch Ltd and Neat Distillery Ltd.

Last year, Ian surprised EastEnders fans with a cameo during Dot’s funeral.
Once everyone had arrived at the church for the service, Ian was spotted watching from afar.
“Goodbye, Dot. I’ll miss you,” he remarked as he held back tears.
Ian’s phone then rang and he was heard telling the caller: “Hello love. I’m coming home.”
The EastEnders legend walked off as the service began to commemorate Dot.
Many fans suspected this cameo could signal the return of Ian and another beloved character, Jane Beale (Laurie Brett).
RyanTheSoapking begged: “Please don’t let Ian’s return be a one off. He needs to come back full time with Jane. #EastEnders.”
“Ian is definitely on the phone to Jane!! They’re coming back next year aren’t they #EastEnders,” Sharonsstacey suggested.
Trevorsroyle theorised: “Ian only said love to Jane so i think they’re back together #EastEnders.”
Jane was last seen in Walford in 2012 while Ian departed EastEnders in January 2021.
He departed Albert Square after uncovering Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) plot to kill him.
Sharon held Ian responsible for her son Denny Rickman’s (Bleu Landau) death.
