Actress Emma Barton of EastEnders switches from her Honey Mitchell Albert Square ensemble to a ballgown as she gets ready to appear in Beauty and the Beast this holiday season.
Emma Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell in the BBC EastEnders soap opera, is slated to make an appearance in a fantastical new role. As she gets ready to play the lead in a panto this Christmas, 45-year-old Emma is seen wearing a sparkling ballgown.
In the promotional photo for the stage version of Beauty and the Beast, the actress looked stunning. Emma looked completely different from her EastEnders character while wearing a blue sparkling ballgown and a glittering blue wand.
For five weeks in December and January, she will play Fairy Bon Bon in the Bournemouth Pavilion’s production of Beauty and the Beast.
In the perennially popular tale of Belle, who finds herself imprisoned in an enchanted castle by a prince who has been changed into a hideous beast by an evil sorceress, she will be joined by comedian Noel Brodie, who will play Louis La Plonk.
Back on Albert Square, viewers have recently seen Honey make an effort to save her recently reunited ex-husband Billy Mitchell from a life sentence for a historic murder he didn’t commit.
According to The Sun, Emma will star in the panto while also filming episodes of EastEnders, with the possibility of a two-week break in between.
Insider comment: “EastEnders moves up its Christmas filming to get a head start. Additionally, there is a two-week filming break, so it is unlikely that Emma’s absence from the set will affect the final product.”
When Emma participated in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour in 2020, she had to take a brief break from filming.
James Bye, a cast member of EastEnders, is vying for the Glitterball Trophy on the BBC program right now.
James and his dance partner Amy Dowden paid homage to the Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy for Movie Week, which was held this past weekend.
James, who was portraying frontman Peter Quill, remarkably resembled Chris Pratt, who plays the part. In the meantime, Amy imitated Zoe Saldana’s Gamora by entering the dance floor while covered in green body paint and a black catsuit.
In their Cha Cha Cha routine to Blue Swede’s Hooked On A Feeling, the couple received 22 points from the judges.
James Gunn, who directed the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films as well as the upcoming third one, took to Twitter shortly after their performance to express his thoughts.
Can’t decide if I should keep this scene in Vol. 3,” he wrote after posting a clip of their dance. Please comment below with your thoughts.
James was informed of the tweet on Sunday night’s results show by host Claudia Winkleman, who added that the soap star’s three sons would probably be overjoyed.
James retorted, “Jimmy Gunn, keep it in lad,” raising his hands in the air in response.
Then he added, “Thanks a lot. I’m out of here, strictly, he said as he pretended to leave the studio.
