Sunday night’s episode of EastEnders shocked viewers when Stacey Slater learned that her daughter Lily, 12, was pregnant.
Lily Slater, a young character on EastEnders, was dealt a devastating blow on Sunday night when she learned she was pregnant. The 12-year-old was taken to the hospital right away because of stomach pains, even though it was thought that she may have been poisoned by carbon monoxide. The news that her daughter was expecting horrified her mother, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
Stacey broke the news to a bewildered Lily in dramatic scenes as she lay in a hospital bed.
When asked whether she could go home, Stacey said: “No, not just yet.
“This is Holly she is a social worker and this is DC Booth. We have been talking, they are really nice and just want to chat with you.”
“Am I in trouble?” the youngster asked in a panic as Stacey reassured her: “No.
“The doctors did a few tests and you’re pregnant.”
The pair broke down as Stacey continued: “I promise you are not in trouble.
“It is just however it happened, whatever happened…darling, it’s because you are so young they need to find out how it happened.
“They’re going to take you to like a little interview place, like a police station but not as scary.”
“No,” Lily pleaded, begging her mum to let her go home.
“They’re all happy you’re safe,” Stacey sobbed. “Then you can come home.”
Fans have, however, turned to social media to share their theories about Lily’s plot, with many claiming to have identified the baby’s father.
Both Nugget and newcomer Freddie (Bobby Brazier) have been suggested as potential suspects (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury).
Nat postulated: “Just finished watching EastEnders on @bbceastenders, and I know who Lily’s father is—Ricky it’s Branning! Who can forget the episode where Ricky answered Denise’s question about his whereabouts in the pub by saying he was going “to meet a mate”? That mate was Lily.” (sic)
I believe Lily had sex with an older boy or even a man rather than the obvious young boys on the square, according to @Onelifee3.

“Could Ricky really be the father of Lily’s child? Because of Jean’s illness and Amy’s self-harm, she has had a lot going on lately. Could she be feeling a little neglected as a result? Can’t imagine Denzel liking Amy. Nugget or Will?” Grianne conjectured.
“There are two possibilities here… Either Lily’s done something with a boy her age like Tommy or Nugget, or this is a new sexual abuse storyline coming about,” user @Mousyneska predicted.
