When Queen Vic owner Mick Carter appeared to have passed away at sea on Christmas Day, EastEnders viewers were devastated.
Danny Dyer’s character Mick Carter and Kellie Bright’s Linda Carter once collaborated to successfully run the Queen Vic. But recently, when Linda started abusing alcohol, they closed the bar, and Mick later moved back when he teamed up with Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks). EastEnders is eager to figure out who will take control of the pub because Janine left Albert Square and Mick is missing.
The Queen Vic’s former owner, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), is the man who BBC viewers believe Linda, who has been brokenhearted, will move on with.
It’s not unlikely that the two could work together because they have both worked at the bar and have made it their home.
Alfie has been devastated by Kat Slater’s (Jessie Wallace) relationship with Phil Mitchell, while Linda was devastated when Mick married Janine (Steve McFadden).
Fans of EastEnders believe that this opens the door for Linda and Alfie to develop a romantic relationship.
Dyana commented on the potential plot on Twitter, writing: “I just finished watching #EastEnders and my heart is breaking for Alfie.
“Kat is my favorite, but she will rue her choice. Would Linda be able to mend Alfie’s broken heart?
“#EastEnders I wonder if my original theory could be correct now that Kat has decided to stick by Phil. Ryan Glendenning tweeted.
“Could Alfie and Linda run the bar and share a bed? We are aware that Alfie will soon break into the bar. Could this result in Linda coming back?
Kat sticking with Phil too, a surprising move, Jo Townsend theorized. I believe it might be required for Alfie’s character development.
“Perhaps he can get a full-time role in the queen vic and maybe start dating Linda later in the year #Eastenders,” someone said.
Miss Cariney B added, “I’m hoping Alfie becomes Linda.
Run the Vic, too! In the end, Kat will regret picking Phil! #EastEnders.”
“Knowing #EastEnders, Mick will return on their wedding day or something.”
On EastEnders, it was revealed last week that Kat had decided to support Phil despite her terrifying kidnapping experience.
DCI Keeble, who kidnapped both Tommy Moon and Kat, was shot, and in exchange for being taken to the hospital, the officer agreed to drop her grudge against the Mitchells.
Kat rebuffed Alfie’s attempts to persuade her to leave Phil and Walford.
She confronted Phil and begged him to keep her children safe, saying, “Don’t let me regret this.”
She returned and said, “I made my bed and I’m going to lie in it,” to Alfie.
Alfie broke down in tears as he informed Kat that there was no turning back and he hoped she wouldn’t second-guess her choice.
