Fans of EastEnders are convinced they spotted a major clue to the flash-forward murder mystery in Tuesday night’s episode involving Sharon Watts’ wedding dress.
EastEnders fans eagerly tuned into Tuesday night’s episode searching for clues to the flash-forward murder mystery teased at the end of Monday’s instalment. They weren’t disappointed as Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner) took delivery of a consignment of wedding dresses. As Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) held up one of the bridal gowns to question Stacey about them, viewers were convinced it was the same dress that Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was wearing in the landmark scene.
The historic episode from Monday night hinted at the murder of a significant male character this Christmas.
It concluded with a flash-forward to Christmas 2023 and an extravagantly decorated Queen Vic.
Sharon, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Denise Branning (Diane Parish), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), and Stacey were among the matriarchs of the Square and were gathered around a dead body.
It’s interesting to note that Sharon was attired in a wedding gown when she declared “he’s dead” after checking for a pulse.
Despite much rumor regarding her intended spouse, viewers are convinced they have already seen her wedding dress 10 months in advance.
Due to her current financial difficulties, Stacey revealed to Eve that the shady Big Mo (Laila Morse) of the Slater family had sent a shipment of wedding gowns in the hopes that she could store them in her garage for a friend named “Shifty Shiv.”
He might be able to assist Stacey in replacing the equipment that was recently taken from her catering van.
The gown Eve held up, though, caught the attention of onlookers at home as they combed through the haul because it resembled the one Sharon had been wearing in the flash-forward episode.
“So we know where Sharon gets her wedding dress from #shiftyshiv #EastEnders #thesix @bbceastenders,” exclaimed Twitter user @Mia Cluer.
“Was that Eve’s future wedding dress for Sharon held up?” inquired @RyanJL. #EastEnders.”
Eve is unquestionably holding Sharon’s wedding dress from the flash forward, omg #EastEnders, wrote another fan with the username @sharonsstacey.
“I can now see where Sharon is going to (sic) get her wedding dress from in Christmas 2023, but who is she going to (sic) marry?” tweeted @mishybabez_ in the meantime. Keanu, Phil, or another person. #EastEnders.”
EastEnders fans will have to wait until Christmas Day 2023 to find out the identity of the victim, who the murderer was and how it all went down.
Even the cast aren’t sure of how the story will pan out as Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter, revealed when she appeared on This Morning on Tuesday.
“We’ve all gone round right round the houses of who we think it could be,” she said.
“I think there’s going to be lots of red herrings, little things that you’re going to kind of go, ‘oh it’s definitely him,’ and it’s going to…shift and change throughout the year.”
