Albert Square has seen the return of Phil Mitchell.
Fans of EastEnders are pleading with the show for confirmation after spotting a hint that they believe points to Keanu Taylor and Phil Mitchell having a “hidden plan.” Following an almost three-year hiatus, Keanu made a shocking comeback this week, reuniting with his son Albie and ex-girlfriend Sharon Watts.
But because of his complicated relationship with the Mitchells, everyone was eager to caution him that Phil may pose a serious threat to his life if he found out he was back in Walford. As DCI Keeble and Phil squared off, Phil left on his own journey away from Albert Square in an effort to clear Billy of any wrongdoing.
Bitter for retribution, Keanu has been working with DCI Keeble to bring Phil to justice once and for all. However, last night (December 20), as the neighborhood tough guy returned to the scene, viewers surmised that the adversaries might actually be cooperating.
However, some believe that if he really wanted to bring Phil down, he would have done so by now because he has so much dirt on him.
One fan wrote on social media to discuss their theories:
“Keanu is definitely working with Phil. He knows too much about the movements of Phil’s close associates. #EastEnders.”
Another added: “Keanu had too much inside information on Phil to give to Keeble. He was also watching Phil when he came back. #EastEnders” A third speculated: “Keanu is going to get info out of her [DCI Keeble] and then Phil’s gonna use it for Billy.”
Fans, however, are clamoring for a one-on-one moment between the two to validate their suspicions as the rumors swirl. One person stated: “If Keanu and Phil are cooperating, it’s important to watch how they behave when they are alone and face each other.#EastEnders
” A second penned: “All I care about is how Phil is going to react when he sees Keanu? Will it be good or will it be bad? I hope they are working together as that would be a great twist.”
