LINDA eventually exacts revenge on Janine by hitting her and accusing her of arranging for the social services to remove her daughter Annie.
When a caller who wished to remain anonymous phoned social services and placed empty bottles inside the recovering alcoholic’s apartment (played by Linda Bright), she was horrified.
In the episode of the BBC soap opera airing on Tuesday, Linda was determined to learn who had called them.
She said that the unidentified caller was Martin, Sharon, Zack, and Jada who had set her up.
Sharon, though, argued that they had all got her back.
The audience is aware that Janine coerced Jada into planning and framing.
But Janine played the victim when Linda claimed she had called social services.
Janine was given a nose punch by Linda, who then said, “I don’t know anyone else that can be that vengeful,” adding, “I know it was you.”
Janine answered: “I’m not the only one who finds your actions repulsive.
“Evidently, you don’t know many of the locals very well.
“All I know is that Annie, like the rest of your children, is better off without you,”
You b****, Linda said as she raced for Janine and grabbed her throat.
Mick rushed in to rip Linda away from Janine as she battled to loosen Linda’s hold on her.
Linda spoke to Mick: “She was there. She made the police contact and requested that Annie be taken away.”
However, Janine was successful in persuading Mick and Linda that she wouldn’t take a daughter away from their mother because she is aware of how “painful” that is.
She even makes a life-or-death oath that she is “speaking the truth” and that she did not contact social services regarding Linda.
Janine continued: “You would have loved for it to have been me, but it wasn’t. That choice was made by someone else.”
She threatened to contact the police after Linda attacked her, but Mick countered that doing so would just make matters worse, and Janine concurred while putting on a brave face.
Mick advised Linda to “stop blaming” individuals and “concentrate on getting Annie back” later in the Queen Vic.
In their heated altercation, the crowd was rooting for Linda to finally give Janine what she deserved.
Taking to Twitter, one said: “GO ON LINDA!”
One more wrote: “That punch, in my opinion, was for the entire country. Well done, Linda.”
“This linda and janine feud is the finest one in YEARS,” wrote a third.
