As Danny Dyer’s final scenes for EastEnders air this Christmas, fans will say goodbye to Mick Carter during the holiday season.
The yearly Christmas trailer for EastEnders has been released, and Mick Carter, a fan favorite, is not doing well (played by Danny Dyer).
His departure from the BBC soap opera was announced earlier this year, but the specifics of how he departs Walford remain unknown. Could the end for the endearing pub owner really be here?
We have a whole new life ahead of us, Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) tells Mick in the trailer.
With his arm around Janine, Linda’s ex-husband turns to face her as she looks over at him.
Shirley, speaking of her soon-to-be daughter-in-law, says: “Of course she did it, look at its face” as the scene cuts to Christmas Day.
Mick laments, “I just wanted one last Christmas in the Vic with my family, all my family.”
A female voice shouting the name of the landlord can be heard as Mick stands alone in the pitch black.
In the background, menacing music is playing as the words “Mick’s last Christmas” flash across the screen.
Will Mick leave Walford with Janine to begin a new life or will he meet an untimely death?
Fans of EastEnders will be aware that Janine has been deceiving the landlord for months.
Christmas Day will be Mick’s last day in Walford, according to spoilers.
Charlie, who plays Janine, will also be leaving the soap opera, but it’s unclear whether she’ll go with Mick or by herself.
Some fans worry that Janine will go back to killing people and murder Mick.
The stalwart of unlucky in love has grown resentful of her fiance’s close friendship with Linda.

One fan, however, expressed sympathy for Janine’s predicament and mentioned how close Mick and Linda are.
