Schedules have confirmed that EastEnders and Waterloo Road will not air this evening, and we are devastated.
Tuesdays are typically when both TV shows air new episodes, but tonight is an exception (Tuesday January 17).
They aren’t on TV because of the FA Cup, which starts at 7:30 p.m., as you probably already guessed.
The third-round rematch will take place at Molineux between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool.
Fans of the BBC’s flagship soap opera EastEnders will probably be devastated to learn that it has been canceled, especially given how popular it has become over the past year.
Only two weeks after Waterloo Road’s return to television for its brand-new revival series, it has already shocked viewers with a number of shocking developments, including a significant death.
But if the loss of both programs from your Tuesday schedule has left you utterly heartbroken, have no fear—they’ll be staging a comeback on television sooner than you might expect.
The following episode of EastEnders, which was originally scheduled to air this evening, will air on Wednesday, January 18, at 7:30 p.m.
If you simply can’t wait that long, you’ll be happy to learn that the episode in question will be available for streaming on BBC iPlayer starting at 6 am tomorrow.
In contrast, Waterloo Road will also air tomorrow night at 8 p.m., immediately following EastEnders.
But if you must know what happens next in the BBC school-based drama, head over to iPlayer right away. There, you can binge-watch the entire new season.
