While Mollie Gallagher, a star of Coronation Street, prepares to make her Dancing on Ice debut, she has left her co-star from that show “obsessed.” The ITV skating show returned on Sunday night, and the actress made a brief appearance on television.
She did not, however, make her full stage debut because the lineup of eleven well-known figures and their professional skating partners was spread out over two weeks. Former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran, reality star Joey Essex, and Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton all took the ice first during the first episode of the 2023 series, which is hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
A spectacular opening routine with the show’s professional skaters gave viewers a glimpse of the entire group in action. Fans won’t be able to watch Mollie, drag queen The Vivienne, comedian Darren Harriott, and West End actress and former Hollyoaks actress Carley Stenson compete on the ice until this coming Sunday, January 22, though.
The remaining couples were rinkside despite not competing over the weekend, which allowed Mollie to dress in sparkles and go full glam for her debut on Dancing on Ice. The actress, who portrays Nina Lucas in the television series Corrie, shared a number of behind-the-scenes selfies on social media, appearing to enjoy the departure from her usual appearance.
Since then, she has returned to her social media page with additional pictures showing her embracing her brand-new blonde hair. Because of her gothic on-screen persona, fans are accustomed to seeing the soap star with black hair. Corrie viewers have recently noticed Mollie’s hair changing, as well as that of her character, of course.
“My dancing on ice dream is really letting me live my blonde dream,” Mollie wrote alongside a recent batch of selfies she shared on Instagram. And then the compliments poured in.
“Obsessed it’s SO GOOD Mol,” said Corrie co-star Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley in the ITV soap opera. Georgia Taylor, who played Toyah Habeeb in Corrie, said, “Suits you, darling.” The Vivienne, a new DOI co-star, posted: “STUN!” and Patsy added: “Beautiful girl,” along with a string of red heart emojis.
Also, messages were being sent by fans. “Ugh, this blonde phase is everything,” said @baileypicko_. “Omg I LOVE it,” wrote @outnumberedtoboys in a comment. “Looks beautiful, can’t wait to see you perform on Sunday,” wrote @kellycoop84. You really suit it and you look beautiful, @kerrylouisefenton retorted.
I typed: “@invisiblydisabledme” “I really like my blonde hair. It’s perfect for you.” “Beautiful, good luck with dancing on ice,” wrote @andrewaustin296. “Your hair is giving me Elsa vibes,” tweeted @katr1299. Added by @lisa clare23: “Stunning in every way! really works for you.”
