Jennie McAlpine, a star of Coronation Street, has announced she is six months along in the delivery of her third child.
After revealing she is currently six months along with her third pregnancy, 38-year-old Jennie McAlpine has spoken out about it. In an interview with OK! Magazine, the Coronation Street actress also made the suggestion that she would choose a different baby name that was inspired by the well-known ITV soap opera.
Since she began acting in 2001, Jennie is best known for her role as Fiz Brown on the television series Corrie.
The soon-to-be mother of three also has a practice of giving her kids show-related names.
The soap star and her restaurant manager husband Chris Farr have two kids together.
The couple has so far welcomed a four-year-old daughter named Hilda and an eight-year-old son named Albert.
I can probably guarantee that whatever the name we choose, it will have been a character in Corrie – I don’t know how to avoid it! When asked if she would be paying homage to the show once more with the name of her next child, she said:
Although Jennie admitted her kids weren’t “fully surprised,” she and her husband were “really thrilled” by the news.
The actress recalled the moment she realized she was pregnant once more as she described how the good news had been the best Christmas present she could have hoped for.
She explained that she and her husband had taken their children camping, and that once they had arrived, she started to feel sick.
Jennie made the decision to take a test after recalling having similar symptoms during her previous pregnancies.
She was, in fact, correct, and the actress was overjoyed to learn that she was about five weeks pregnant.
“Simply put, it feels wonderful. We’re so ecstatic, she said.
“The best Christmas present was the thought of adding to the chaos and mix of our family! I’m very excited about 2023 because it will be a memorable year.”
In addition to her lengthy run on Corrie, Jennie has appeared in a variety of reality programs over the years.
She participated in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2017 and finished in fourth place, with Made in Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo ultimately taking home the series win.
She has also participated on Loose Women as a guest panelist and has been a featured actor in three episodes of Emmerdale.
