Summer Spellman, a young character on Coronation Street, is having trouble getting her three father figures to agree with her choice to bear Esther and Mike Hargrave’s children.
Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), a character on Coronation Street, recently broke up with her boyfriend Aaron Sandford (James Craven).
She felt betrayed by his decision to inform Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) about their current relationship with Esther (Vanessa Hehir) and Mike Hargrave (Tom Lorcan). According to official spoilers, Summer and Aaron reunite and carry on with their surrogacy journey, but could Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) intervene personally?
Billy tells Summer in upcoming scenes that she must attend Amy Barlow’s (Elle Mulvany) party because she can’t avoid Aaron forever.
Billy expresses to Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) his hope that Aaron will be able to convince her to reconsider her plans for a surrogate child.
Billy is shocked, though, when Summer says she’s back with Aaron and that he supports her surrogacy plans wholeheartedly.
Later, when the bailiffs arrive at Mike and Esther’s home, Summer answers the door in a panic because she has no idea why they are there.
Summer is shocked to learn that Mike and Esther have been hiding their own secrets from her as the bailiffs begin collecting up their belongings.
When Esther and Mike return and discover their house has been raided, Summer demands to know what is going on out of concern for her safety.
Billy explains to Summer over tea that he would like to go with her to her appointment with the surrogacy consultant because he wants to help her in any way he can.
Summer tries to keep the tension at a minimum as she, Billy, Mike, Esther, and the surrogacy counselor attend a meeting.
Todd confides in Paul that he is not sure Mike and Esther are the upright Christian couple they portray themselves to be and that he plans to look into it.
If Todd learns a sinister truth about Esther and Mike, will he put Summer in even greater danger than she already is?
Since Esther and Mike’s debut, their fans have been convinced that something is strange about them.
Summer had to make the difficult decision to move in with them, but she did so out of concern that she wouldn’t be able to repay them.
To enlist Adam Barlow (Samuel Robertson), a local attorney, in Todd’s investigation of the suspect couple, they could work together.
Actors Harriet and Daniel from Summer and Billy recently teased the plot and revealed that Esther and Mike aren’t who they seemed to be.
According to Harriet, who spoke with eastenders.live: “This story, in my opinion, has many unexpected turns.
“She has undoubtedly had a difficult year, and I don’t believe she is handling everything that is happening very well.
“I think she is in for a bit of a ride with Esther and Mike but we’ll see what happens, she had got the support of Billy, and Aaron and her other dads as well so.”
Daniel added: “There is something a little sinister about them, and watching them on screen because a lot of their scenes were without me.
“So it is interesting to see it unfolding as a viewer, but yeah there will be plenty of twists and turns before the storyline finishes.
“Billy always tries to do the right thing, very rarely manages it, but his intention is always good and as a parent, he wants to support her decisions, even if they are rubbish.
“Summer in her head is doing this for the right reasons so realistically, so she is trying to do a good thing but she has caught Billy’s inability to do it well.”
