Paul Foreman has been exhibiting some concerning health issues ever since Carla Connor ran him over, and he is about to suffer a setback when he learns that his issues might not be related to the collision.
On Coronation Street, Paul Foreman, portrayed by Peter Ash, very kindly offered to pay for the nuptials of his twin sister Gemma, played by Dolly Rose-Campbell, and Chesney, played by Sam Aston. Unfortunately, he was struck by an Underworld truck driven by Carla Barlow (Alison King) almost as soon as he gave her the money, leaving him unable to work. He will suffer a crushing blow as he waits for the accident’s compensation, which he plans to use to pay for the wedding.
The wedding venue is demanding full payment up front or they will have to cancel, Gemma confides to Paul the following week.
Paul is optimistic that everything will work out despite the fact that he currently has no income.
On Carla’s behalf, Peter (Chris Gascoyne) has already made him an offer of £15,000.
Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown), who overhears him on the phone, cautions him that he might not receive the money he is hoping for.
Things will get even worse when Paul exhibits symptoms that indicate more damage than initially thought.
Paul is referred to a neurologist by Dr. Gaddas when he says his hand has not improved.
After speaking with Dee-Dee on the phone to request a witness statement, Peter visits Paul and tells him to stop exploiting Carla’s mental health issues for his own financial gain.
Peter accuses him of fabricating his injuries, despite Paul’s assurances that this is not the case.
Although Paul’s problems are not likely to have been brought on by the accident, the neurologist sends him for more scans.
Even though Paul already finds this information shocking, there is one more surprise in store.
Dee-Dee confirms that Paul won’t be eligible for compensation, which horrifies him.
Will he be forced to take drastic action because he has no income and wedding debts for Gemma and Chesney hanging over him?
Paul was riding a motorcycle when Carla crashed into him, causing his accident.
She had been given LSD by the evil Stephen Reid while she was operating the Underworld van, but she was unaware of this at the time (Todd Boyce).
Paul was knocked off his bike, but he was able to get to his feet and seemed to be in good shape.
Currently, it appears Carla may have done much more harm as a result of alarming symptoms.
Concerns are raised for the factory owner because her loved ones think she might be experiencing psychosis.
If Paul decides to file charges, she might also be sentenced to prison for hitting him.
