In the most recent episode of Coronation Street, Jacob Hay came under pressure from Damon (Ciarán Griffiths), who was concerned about the missing drugs. He confessed everything to Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) after admitting he was in a bad place and promising to leave permanently. After leaving, actor Jack James Ryan posted a statement on Twitter.
Jacob left in a taxi after breaking Amy Barlow’s (Elle Mulvaney) heart.

“It’s unbelievable that a two-month job on the cobbles turned into a Weatherfield residency that lasted two years.
It has been an absolute honor to be able to work on the program I grew up watching and to continue in the traditions of true legends.
“I can’t express my gratitude to the show’s viewers enough; their love and support have been truly overwhelming.
“Because of how well the writers wrote for Jacob, he has been an absolute pleasure to play as a character.
I’d like to express my gratitude to Gennie and the casting team for giving me the opportunity, as well as to the many talented directors I’ve had the pleasure of working with and the entire production team, who put in endless effort to make this show a reality.
He took some time to say a few words of gratitude to Elle Mulvaney, his co-star.
He stated: “Elle Mulvaney, the work wife, deserves a special thank you for making this experience unforgettable.
“I appreciate your honesty, good nature, and daily ability to make me laugh until I cry.
“How cool is it that I get to call Amy Barlow my best friend now?”
The celebrity hinted at some upcoming projects and said he hoped to reveal more information soon.
He clarified: “Who knows what Jacob will do next, but I sincerely hope you will support me as I take my next steps away from the streets.
“I’ll say goodbye for now, but I have some really exciting news to share when I can.”
The star added the following to the lengthy statement: “I gave it everything I had.
“You will be missed, Jacob Hay boy. I can’t express enough gratitude to you all for your unmatched love and support during my time on the show. Tomorrow, Weatherfield!”
Star, Amy When Elle learned that her co-star would be leaving, she expressed her “absolute gutbreak.”
She revealed to Digital Spy: “Reading the scripts brought tears to my eyes because Jack is actually one of my closest friends; we just met yesterday, and I adore him.
“He is an incredibly talented actor, and I believe that working constantly with your best friend is just a blessing in disguise.
“He brought so much to the show, so I think he’ll be really missed.”
