Harvey Gaskell might be getting ready to make a dramatic comeback. Coronation Street frequently sees some of the most memorable characters come and go.
After the drug lord was put behind bars, Will Mellor quit his role as Harvey Gaskell on Coronation Street. Will has pursued other endeavors since leaving the ITV mainstay, winning last year’s Strictly Come Dancing, and presenting World’s Most Dangerous Roads. In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the actor didn’t completely rule out the possibility of the murderer making a shocking return and quipped, “Who knows?” when asked if he would return to the cobbles.
After terrifying Coronation Street residents with his crimes, Harvey was sentenced to prison.
After fatally shooting Natasha Blakeman, he left her young son Sam Blakeman (played by Jude Riordan) without a mother (Rachel Leskovac).
Even though he had been imprisoned for some time, Will briefly returned to the soap opera after Sam begged for the opportunity to visit him in jail.
The young student was driven to learn what precipitated Harvey’s life of crime and, ultimately, the passing of his mother.
It is unlikely that the character will go back to the streets because they are very much still in prison.
Fans will recall that Harvey has previously managed to elude capture.
Will responded to Express.co.uk when asked if there was potential for more Harvey scenes: “Who knows? No one knows.
I adore the character, he continued. But he is currently behind bars for murder!
“So, you know, I have no idea. I have a ton of things I want to do after this tour is over.”
Following his success on the program, Will participated in the Strictly Come Dancing tour at the beginning of the year.
He advanced to the semifinals along with the choreographer Nancy Xu.
Will has made use of his Corrie departure to pursue other interests in addition to embracing his new dancing abilities.
The two traveled to Albania for the program in order to tackle some extremely risky journeys.
Will elucidated, saying: “It’s venturing out into the unknown. putting yourself in situations where you normally wouldn’t be.
“Keith was also significantly out of his comfort zone, and I enjoy traveling. If I can get out there, I will. I love to travel and see the world.
Based on this love of travel, the actor also disclosed his aspiration to produce a working-class audience a travel television series.
Will revealed, “I want to launch my own travel show. “Something unique, perhaps something for those with less money.
“In order to demonstrate how people from the working class, from which I originate, can possibly travel and still have adventures while possibly saving some money.
“And perhaps show you a location that might be a little cheaper but also a place to go and do something similar. I wish I could travel more.”
