Recently, Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd revealed that a beloved Platt family member had been recast and talked about their first day.
Jack P Shepherd of Coronation Street recently welcomed a new member to the Platt family on his TikTok account. The adorable dog recently wrapped filming on his first scenes after being hired to take the place of the original David the Dog. After a long day of shooting, Jack admitted he was “shaking” and talked openly about his first day.
David was the dog of Mrs. Moss, a regular client of Audrey Roberts’ (played by Sue Nicholls) salon and a character on the ITV soap opera.
Mrs. Moss adored Audrey’s grandson, so she named her dog after him and left David with £20,000 when she passed away.
After the character’s death in 2017, David the dog, who has since become a fan favorite, has been living with the Platts.
Jack told thesuns.info and other media about his new co-arrival star’s on the cobblestones: “He is good, he has only one day so far that day and he was very nervous, shaking.
“However, he is fine, behaves himself, sits when he should, and moves when he should, so that’s a win.
“Some people were saying different breed, but he is not; he has had his haircut to look like a different breed, but yes, he is a Yorkshire Terrier,” the owner responded.
In the coming weeks, David the dog will make a comeback to television and be back with the Platts.
On the Coronation Street official TikTok page earlier this month, Jack first introduced the dog to the audience.
“So this is David, the new David the dog,” he said to the audience. He goes by the name David, or Dave. He’s the new guy, and after his first day and two scenes, he’s exhausted.
He’s going home right now to get some treats. However, he is excellent and well-mannered.
Jack also discussed the Platt family’s impending drama and how Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) is likely to cause more trouble.
Since his arrival, Stephen has terrorized the cobblestones, but no one has noticed his crimes.
Recently, he made an attempt to poison Audrey by adding anti-depressants to her drink to make it appear as though she was intoxicated.
Jack jokingly revealed how the Platt family would respond if Audrey were to suffer harm: “We don’t, and we want it that way because we don’t want to pass away.
“We don’t know anything about it until he is arrested, at which point we exclaim, “Stephen we never knew!” Everyone else can find out, and they wind up in the trash, but not us.
“For us, that would be perfect. We don’t want Audrey to suffer harm, so we might have to intervene if he does. If Audrey is crossed in any way, you cross all Platts.”
Fans are increasingly worried that Stephen will turn into the Cobbles’ next serial killer after murdering Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost), targeting his mother or ex-wife Gabrielle Reid (Helene Maksoud).
Utilizing Reddit, @annyMay postulated: “Stewart Reid What if Gabrielle gives herself up in exchange for a plea bargain to get Stephen? After learning the truth, he murders her. Nobody is secure!”
Asked by @Star Wars 1960, “The same thing occurred to me. He must kill again, right? He cannot simply eliminate one character and then escape punishment?”
Added by @pink sings “Leo in particular: Where the hell was his dead body dumped? Perhaps he would dump Gabrielle in the same location if he killed her. It’s not a good sign when bodies bow down.” (sic)
