EXCLUSIVE: Coronation Street’s Daisy Midgeley has come to the end of her tether as Justin Rutherford continues to stalk her.
During Monday’s episode of Coronation Street, Daisy Midgeley (played by Charlotte Jordan) bumped into Justin (Andrew Still) as he came back from his mother’s funeral. Having enough of his behaviour, Daisy began live-streaming Justin to make him feel the way he made her feel and was supported by her Weatherfield neighbours. Charlotte recently opened up to Express.co.uk about how Justin continues his stalking which leads to a violent outcome.
After Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) attack the previous evening, Daisy recently requested a stalking protection order against Justin, but it was denied.
The couple reconciled after threatening to call off the wedding because of Daniel and decided they wouldn’t let him ruin their future together.
Charlotte, who plays Daisy, previously discussed what will happen next in their twisted relationship and how broken she will become.
Daisy is a feisty, self-assured character with a gob on her, so she’s not afraid to tell people to do one if she needs to, the woman said.
“But, what you are seeing is this guy who totally takes her power from her, you can’t control how other people behave and you can’t control how other people interpret things.
“So she feels totally powerless and you will slowly see Justin sort of desolate all the things that make her Daisy, which is just really sad.
“Luckily she has got people around her that love her and are going to support her through it but no one can really understand what she is going through.
“So he is going to slowly but surely sort of destroy everything that makes her, her really.”
Regarding Daisy’s exposure to Justin’s delusions, she continued: “She constantly has her guard up and keeps an eye on her back.
“She never knows when he will show up, and because he is completely delusional and thinks Daniel is a barrier to their relationship, she is unsure of how far Daniel’s delusion will go.
It’s just a really scary situation for her to be in, and the worst is still to come, because she doesn’t know how dangerous that makes him in the long run or what will push him over the edge.
After Daisy decided to live stream Justin, his sister also turned up and gave Daisy and Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) some chilling news.
Walking into the Rovers she said: “I saw the video, the man in it, Justin is my brother. I am so sorry, I know what he is like.
“I don’t think you are the first, that’s why I wanted to talk to you, to warn you. You need to go to the police, you need to be really careful.
“Justin, when he gets obsessed with someone like this, he is dangerous.”
Later that night, Daisy and Daniel set Justin up by getting him in Victoria Gardens and Daisy winding him up to get a reaction from him.
She approaches Justin, and as he attacks her physically, Dan and Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) come around the corner, leading to his arrest.
Has Daisy finally been successful in exposing Justin’s true motivations to the police and evicting him from her life permanently?
Daisy is trying to get her stalker arrested, but has she made a mistake given the advice from Justin’s sister?
