Exclusive: Since her stalker Justin Rutherford upped the ante and started a delivery job in Weatherfield, Daisy Midgeley of Coronation Street has been left feeling scared and exposed. Charlotte expressed to thesuns.info and other media how much danger Daisy is in during an exclusive interview.
When Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) learned Justin (Andrew Still) had discovered her number on top of a package she was having delivered, she was left feeling defeated. Since then, the texts and phone calls have been nonstop, forcing Daisy to turn off her phone and reduce her social influence. However, according to official Coronation Street spoilers, Justin escalates his behavior, putting Daisy at greater risk.
Later scenes show Daisy having lunch with her mother Christina, who introduces her to her new partner.
Daisy, however, is horrified to see Justin enter the room with her mother and take a seat across from her at the table.
She calls the location to reschedule because she is concerned Justin might have learned the date of her wedding through her mother.
Daisy suffers yet another setback when the boutique calls the bar to inform her that Justin has called and accused her of assault.
They tell Daisy, who is devastated, that they are no longer willing to lend her a dress for the big day because the publicity might harm their reputation as a company.
When Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) downplays the circumstance after Daisy has explained it to him, she becomes enraged and storms off.
When the doorbell rings at No. 1, Daisy is startled to see Justin when she checks her app.
Daisy commands him to stop but is shocked to see Justin standing there after entering through the back door when she returns to the living room.
Daisy checks her phone after handling the situation and is pleasantly surprised to find no messages from Justin.
The hearing for the stalking protection order is scheduled for very soon, and Daisy prepares herself mentally for the important day.
Before Daisy makes her statement outlining how Justin has made her life miserable, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) addresses the court and informs the Judge that Justin has failed to appear.
Daisy becomes agitated once more as Justin enters the court through an unexpectedly opened door.
According to Justin, there appears to be some miscommunication, he made friends with Daisy, and he is not a stalker.
Has Justin misled everyone, preventing Daisy from receiving the SPO?
Will Daisy be able to present Justin with enough proof to persuade someone to take notice and grant her peace of mind?
The terrifying plotline was recently discussed by Charlotte Jordan, who also touched on how it has affected her relationship with Daniel and the danger Daisy is facing.
She said to the press, including Express.co.uk: “He [Daniel] has to be the one to navigate that and help her through it. She starts to snap and get really fragile.
She is always looking over her shoulder because she has no idea when he will show up because he is so completely delusional.
She is unsure of the extent of his delusion, which holds that they are in a loving relationship and that Daniel is someway a barrier between them.
“It is just a really scary and depressing situation for her to be in because she doesn’t know how dangerous that makes him in the long run or what will push him over the edge. She feels utterly alone and completely powerless.”
