Daniel Osbourne and Daisy Midgeley from Coronation Street recently announced their engagement.
Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who is portrayed by Charlotte Jordan as Daisy Midgeley, proposed on Christmas Day, and the couple has been busy planning their wedding ever since. However, Daisy began to flirt with a DJ at an event when she thought Daniel was losing interest in preparing for their big day. In upcoming Coronation Street episodes, Daisy starts receiving flowers and believes the DJ is wooing her.
Daniel receives another bouquet of flowers for Daisy at No. 1, but what he discovers there shocks him.
Taking a quick look at the card, he demands that Daisy identify Justin for him.
Daisy sends Justin the DJ a message requesting that he finally leave her alone.
She tries to move on with Daniel and hopes that this stops the stalking.
When Daisy reveals that all of her friends are also influencers, the two continue to make a list of wedding guests.
She admits to Daniel that she hasn’t kept in touch with her old pals.
Daniel makes a secret plan to find her old friends and invite them to the wedding in an effort to impress his partner.
Jenny thinks it’s a lovely idea, but will Daisy be happy now that she’s cut off from her friends?
Later, a delivery person arrives with another bouquet from Justin for Daisy.
Her heart breaks, and she posts a social media caution about the DJ to other women.
Daisy is horrified to learn she mistargeted Justin and has no idea who he is when a furious DJ Teativo calls the Rovers and demands she take down her damaging post.
Who might be Daisy’s stalker and why are they after her?
Iain MacLeod, the head of Coronation Street, recently teased that Daniel and Daisy’s relationship would be put to the test in the upcoming weeks.
Express.co.uk and other media outlets received the following statement from him: “It’s a story about a young woman being on the internet and the dangers that face influencers and high profile people.
Daisy has a sizable online following, which essentially puts her in some danger as the wedding draws near.
The majority of the narrative is lighthearted; it centers on Daniel and Daisy’s culture/class comedy.
There is enjoyable entertainment there, but there is also a looming danger brought on by Daisy’s online activities.
“It takes Daniel and Daisy some time to realize that danger is brewing, and by the time that happens, we’re into a really interesting, current, and socially significant story with a far-reaching psychological impact that runs throughout the entire year of 2023, and threatens their relationship and causes Daisy’s faith in Daniel to be shaken as she possibly has her hear turned.”
