After the policeman decides to open up, Coronation Street viewers could see Craig Tinker and Faye Windass’ relationship crumbling.
The relationship between Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) has recently been put to the test after it became clear that the policemen were unintentionally pushing her away after she was diagnosed with early menopause. ITV viewers may be able to see trouble brewing for the couple once more despite the fact that they appear to be back on track after Craig decides to tell Faye how he is feeling.
Faye recently decided to get back in touch with her daughter Miley (Frankie-Jae Simmonds) after being absent from her life for a number of years.
Faye initially intended to place the child for adoption, but Miley’s father Jackson (Joseph Evans) decided to travel to Canada with his daughter to start a new life.
The youngster hasn’t interacted much with Faye despite a brief encounter with them back in 2017, but that changed after Jackson and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) decided to get together so that he could meet his granddaughter.
Since then, Faye has made the decision to get to know Miley, and in scenes that will air next week, she asks her boyfriend Craig if he’d like to meet her daughter formally.
She asks Craig to drop by after informing him that Miley and Jackson would be in Weatherfield, but she is surprised when he decides to bring his mother Beth (Lisa George) along as well.
As Faye explains that Miley is a basketball fan, Craig says he wants to buy her daughter a gift in an effort to make a good first impression.
Despite the fact that the policeman mishears Faye and believes she has said baseball, he chooses to purchase a bat and mitt for the incorrect sport.
Later, when Craig realizes his error, he is furious with himself, but Miley graciously invites him to play catch with her.
Faye feels bad for Craig because it’s obvious the child is having fun despite having no interest in baseball.
Faye bids them farewell as Jackson and Miley prepare to depart.
Craig decides after some thought that he will tell his girlfriend the truth about how he is feeling right now.
He admits to Faye that he is envious of Jackson’s return after she leaves and returns.
Will Faye be drawn back to her former partner because of their shared bond as parents, or will Craig’s insecurity cause her to lean even more toward Jackson? Will she instead make every effort to reassure him that he has nothing to worry about?
As the two actors hinted at at the Inside Soap Awards the previous year, it appears that the pair are in for a challenging time.
Ellie Leach, an actress, said in an interview with The Mirror: “We hope for the best, don’t we, but I think no relationship is without its challenges.
“I believe that one of its strengths is its ability to depict relationships that exist in real life. Who knows if it will be a smooth sailing?
Viewers could also see Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) suffer an acid attack at the hands of stalker Justin Rutherford elsewhere in the soap opera (Andrew Still).
However, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), on the day of her marriage to Daniel Osbourne, was the target of the vicious act (Rob Mallard).
It’s unclear what Daisy and Dan’s relationship will look like in the future, however, given that the bartender feels guilty about Ryan’s wounds and that her big day has been marred.
