Exclusive: The situation involving Daisy Midgeley’s stalking on Coronation Street is about to become more dangerous as a result of Justin Rutherford’s tenacity. Charlotte gave an exclusive interview to thesuns.info and other media outlets, teasing what the ITV soap will have in store for her.
Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) has been having trouble persuading Justin (Andrew Still) that she isn’t looking for a romantic relationship. Rob Mallard’s character Daniel Osbourne intervened to offer Justin a kind word, but it appeared to have had the opposite effect and fueled Justin’s ambitions even more. Charlotte, a cast member of Coronation Street, recently discussed the harm Justin’s actions will cause Daisy.
In a later scene, Daisy reacts angrily when she sees Justin standing on the cobblestones holding a bouquet of flowers.
She storms over to Justin to confront him because she is upset about the situation and doesn’t feel like anyone is taking her seriously.
Daisy turns to Justin and slaps him across the face after tossing the flowers to the ground and stamping on them.
But Justin’s admission that the flowers were for his mother and his threat of calling the police only makes her feel worse.
Daisy has been finding it difficult to express how Justin’s actions are impacting her mentally, and she feels that no one is paying attention to her.
Recently, Charlotte revealed how Daisy is feeling and acknowledged that she was “sad” about how Justin had started to alter Daisy’s personality.
She stated to press outlets like Express.co.uk: “Despite Daniel and Jenny [Connor] telling her to stop using social media, she has resisted because she feels that isn’t fair.
“She has been attempting to hold onto her identity and the things she wants, but in this episode, she gives in and decides to take a small step back.
Daniel manages her social media accounts so she won’t have to constantly deal with his messages, but he does something that upsets her because she worked so hard to plan their wonderful wedding.
Daniel messes up her social media, which pushes her over the edge because Justin has already wrecked her nerves. It’s really sad that this happens because it sends her into a psychotic spiral.
She feels like no one is listening to her, and since the police aren’t assisting her, her stress levels have already increased.
“When she sees Justin holding flowers, all she can see is red and storms off to get some fresh air. She feels so alone and decides to take matters into her own hands because no one is willing to understand or offer assistance.”
The victim-blaming mentality that surrounds women who have stalkers was another topic on which Charlotte spoke out, saying: “It is so harmful and dangerous.
“Violent crimes against women are on the rise right now for an unknown reason, and it is the woman’s duty to put a stop to it all and bear the responsibility of altering her behavior.
“This guy gets a job on her street so he can be even closer to her, and she is just constantly looking over her shoulder because she never knows when he is going to appear,” Daisy said.
“She doesn’t know how far that delusion will go because he is completely delusional and thinks they are in this loving relationship and Daniel is someway an obstacle for them.
It’s a really scary and sad situation for her to be in because she doesn’t know how dangerous that makes him in the long run or what will push him over the edge.
How will Daisy handle Justin’s increasing intensity?
Daisy starts to spiral, and Charlotte alludes to the possibility that she might endanger herself more than Justin does.
