Adam Barlow of Coronation Street has recently had difficulty persuading his wife Sarah Barlow to have another child with him.
Adam (Samuel Roberston), who yearned to have a family of his own with his wife Sarah (Tina O’Brien), has been in the background recently. The return of Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) to Weatherfield and his request for his legal assistance, according to official Coronation Street spoilers, means Adam will have more to be concerned about.
When Damon first entered Weatherfield last year, he made the excuse that he wanted to see his son Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan).
But as soon as he made Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) act as a front for his drug operation, his true motivations became clear.
Nick was unaware that the loan he had obtained from Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) was actually Damon’s money, which would have allowed him to seize control of The Bistro.
Jacob was soon affected by Damon’s drug dealing when he made him take a job at The Bistro so that the drugs would be handled correctly and not be discovered.
Jacob eventually disagreed with his father and declared he would no longer participate in his crimes, allowing Weatherfield and his girlfriend Amy Barlow to walk away (Elle Mulvany).
After being set up by Nick in February, Damon was promptly arrested for drug dealing, which could have disastrous repercussions for the restaurant owner.
In upcoming scenes, Adam confides in Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) about his worries about his company.
Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) is horrified to see Damon in the office of the solicitors, where he is seated across from Adam and talking to him.
Dee-Dee reveals that Nick’s life has been made miserable by Damon.
She quickly gives the command to throw his hook in response to Adam letting him into their office and his cocky attitude.
Adam offers the suggestion that they take Damon on as a client because he needs legal counsel and is wealthy while attempting to explain why he was there.
Dee-Dee is horrified by the notion of letting the coworkers fight.
If Adam works with people like Damon, will his law firm be in more legal trouble?
Will Adam be honest with Dee-Dee about his concerns for the office, or will he make an effort to handle the situation on his own?
Damon and Dee-Dee had already gone out on a date before his arrest. Would his bad boy charms be able to win her over again?
Iain MacLeod, a writer for Coronation Street, recently discussed Damon’s return and acknowledged that the drama is far from over.
He stated to the media, including Digital Spy: “As the year progresses, Damon finds himself drawn to a prominent high-profile female character.
“She eventually has her head turned. That has significant repercussions.
“We’re currently developing the storylines for June. In that story, which involves Damon and this love story that will air at that time, there is a build-up and a tremendous explosion.”
