The request Martha made for him to leave the cobbles and return to Hull was a repeat of her 2009 request for him to travel with her to London.
Even though he realized it too late, Ken ultimately realized Wendy was the person he wanted to be with.
Wendy acknowledged that there wasn’t a romantic spark between them despite the fact that she enjoyed their time together.
Wendy promised Ken she would still attend their play the following day despite their breakup and they agreed to remain friends.
