Colson Smith, a cast member of Coronation Street, expressed his disappointment with the ITV soap opera’s producers’ choice.
Actor Colson Smith of Coronation Street has expressed his disappointment at not appearing in the show’s main holiday storyline this year. The Weatherfield star hinted at an exciting development on the cobblestones in December and will appear in episodes leading up to Christmas. The well-liked ITV star also alluded to a potentially amusing encounter with seasoned actor William Roache.
On the red carpet of the TV Choice Awards, Colson expressed his regret at missing out on a juicy holiday plot.
Regarding his Craig Tinker character, he stated to the Daily Star: “In a play we are. Ken has composed a play.”
The young star remained silent when the newspaper pressed him about what will be the main attraction in Weatherfield.
He did, however, concede: “One of the plots that makes you wish you were involved when you hear it’s happening. I was devastated that I was left out.”
“Fans can anticipate more struggles for Craig and Faye,” the celebrity continued.
For a young couple, they experience a lot, but menopause and how their relationship changes is more significant.
He has shared the ground-breaking tale of Faye Windass’ early menopause diagnosis with Ellie Leach.
Ellie discussed the significance of sharing Faye’s story during a guest appearance on Loose Women.
She clarified: “But regardless of what you have, it’s always beneficial to be able to tell a story.
“I wasn’t really aware that it had happened to women so young, so yes, I was shocked.
However, in my opinion, that is why it is beneficial to be able to demonstrate that this occurs and ensure that everyone is aware of it because relatively few people are aware of it.
There have never before been any soap opera characters who go through menopause in their early 20s.
Ellie expressed surprise at the plot, which has significantly impacted the friendship between Faye and Craig.
Added her: “There are a variety of things that can occur, and there are numerous symptoms that can appear.
“The kind of mood swings are probably the hardest for me because they change from 0 to 100 so quickly.
Naturally, I don’t really experience that in my life.
Colson has also been open about his struggle with body image in interviews with the running publication Runners’ World.
He disclosed: “I was the subject of a weekly “he’s done it” story in the red tops, but that doesn’t feel like me.
“I’ve been looking at that fat kid in the mirror every day, and I still see him today.
“I’ll probably carry this battle with me for the rest of my life.”
