Leanne Battersby, a stalwart of Coronation Street, is about to experience the shock of her life when Weatherfield criminal Havey Gaskell contacts her.
Will Mellor’s Harvey Gaskell, a criminal from Coronation Street, was last spotted in Weatherfield in the fall of Super Soap Week 2021. After Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett) betrayed him to have him put in jail, he was able to escape. During their yearly Halloween street party, Harvey then turned his attention to Leanne (Jane Danson), but due to a mix-up, he accidentally shot Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac), leaving her son Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) without a mother.Viewers have recently noticed Sam sending letters to Harvey in jail, but Leanne and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) plan to find out what Sam has been up to.
The letters Sam has been receiving from Harvey, which include invitations to visit him in prison, are found by Leanne and Nick in upcoming scenes.
Leanne is shown to Nick, who is now in shock, and he confirms that they are from the person who tried to kill her.
Despite their fear, the two decide to rip up the letters and agree not to show Sam the invitations.
Leanne, on the other hand, starts to feel the effects as she is burdened by memories of the devastation that Harvey caused in Weatherfield.
She confesses to Nick that the letters have made her feel like a bag of nerves, but he assures her that he is imprisoned.
Leanne later confesses that she won’t be able to sleep until she learns precisely what Harvey wants and why he decided to get in touch with them again.
Will Leanne confront her reservations and visit Harvey behind bars?
Or will Harvey’s repeated escape from death during Super Soap Week come as the biggest surprise of her life?
If Leanne wants to face Harvey, she will have to overcome her fears, but will she risk both Sam and her own life to do so?
The plot’s specifics are closely guarded secrets, but there are hints that the character will appear again soon.
Many Weatherfield residents, including Amy’s (Elle Mulvaney) boyfriend Jacob, have been dealing with the effects of Harvey’s actions (Jack James Ryan).
He was trained to join a county-wide drug gang, and it has only been recently that he has been able to begin a new life on the straight and narrow.
Simon (Alex Bain), one of the targets Harvey made Jacob pursue, was also affected by this.
When asked about the graphic scenes, Will told Metro.co.uk: “I was conscious because it’s Coronation Street. It’s quite nasty.
“We had to raise the bar because we didn’t want it to be mild for the audience, but the watershed has limits,” they said. We probably did that.
Since his announcement, Will has been the betting favorite for the most recent season of Strictly Come Dancing.
When he first revealed himself, Will said: “Sincerely, I’m overjoyed to be competing on Strictly Come Dancing this year!
“I won’t lie; it will be completely outside of my comfort zone and a huge challenge, but that’s what life is all about.
“I’m doing this for my mother as well because she loves this show and has had a difficult few years. Go for it!”
Could Will be heading out of the Strictly Ballroom as his character Harvey returns to the cobbles for a twist in the story?
