Summer Spellman from Coronation Street is in trouble because she keeps lying about being pregnant.
The young woman from Coronation Street consented to carry her pregnancy to term and give birth to her child with Mike (Tom Lorcan) and Esther Hargrave, a childless couple (Vanessa Hehir). Summer (Harriet Bibby), who had been concealing everything from her guardian Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), was devastated to miscarry after spending the £10,000 Mike and Esther had given her. She will receive a different offer from the pair in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap, further dividing her and Billy.
Summer lied to the eager couple so they wouldn’t demand she return the $10,000 after she suffered a tragic miscarriage.
It will be clear to viewers why Summer accepted the offer: to pay for her boyfriend Aaron Sandford’s (James Craven) alcoholic father to enter treatment.
She panicked and told Mike and Esther a lie when she realized she couldn’t return the money.
Summer will have to tell the couple the truth in yet-to-air scenes.
According to spoilers, Mike and Esther will insist on taking Summer to the hospital so she can get her scan.
Summer and Aaron decide to buy themselves some time in the hospital, so they decide to wait outside. Suddenly, Mike shows up.
Aaron and Summer, who are both concerned, prepare to come clean when he says he should accompany the teenager to the scan.
Summer calls Billy, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and explains that she and Aaron want to travel for a year and that they need the money to do so. Summer is desperate to raise the £10,000 needed to repay Mike.
The three question the 18-year-old about her plans with skepticism.
Later, Mike and Esther tell Summer and Aaron that if Summer will agree to be a surrogate for their child, they will forget about the £10,000 and give them even more money.
Billy is worried and will do whatever it takes to prevent Summer from agreeing to the surrogacy plan.
After calling Mike and Esther, he attempts to enforce the law but Mike reminds him that Summer should make the decision, not him.
How will Summer respond when Billy says he’ll report them to the police?
Since the couple made their initial offer to Summer, fans have been wary of them, and the couple has given rise to some conspiracy theories.
The two put forth a peculiar idea after learning that Summer was keeping her decision a secret from Billy.
They appeared pleased rather than upset to learn that Summer was keeping her important decision a secret.
They then discussed a plan with Summer and Aaron, which raised more questions.
Mike suggested that Summer put his name on the birth certificate for the child to make the process go more smoothly.
This would also give the couple a chance if Summer changed her mind following the birth of the child.
Could they have been attempting to establish their “ownership” of the child in an effort to prevent Summer from changing her mind?
Will the couple become even more possessive and paranoid now that Summer might serve as their surrogate in place of them?
It seems strange that they would put their hopes of having children on Summer and forego the formal adoption or surrogacy process.
Will a determined Summer turn down Billy’s advice?
She seems determined to assist the couple, and since she owes them money, she will probably do whatever they ask.
Mike and Esther might turn the tables on Summer for stealing money from them in the first place if Billy follows through on his threat to call the police.
Will Billy be able to stop Summer? Billy must be terrified of what Summer might be getting herself into.
