When Nick Tilsley confronts Tyrone Dobbs in a horrific attack, he is less concerned about Coronation Street youngster Sam Blakeman’s recent exposure for writing to villain Harvey Gaskell.
Legendary character from Coronation Street Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) recently learned that Sam Blakeman, Nick’s son (Jude Riordan), has been writing to Harvey Gaskell, Will Mellor’s character, while he is imprisoned. He explained that he was curious as to why Harvey had murdered Natasha Blakeman, his mother, on Halloween the previous year (Rachel Leskovac). Leanne was meant to be killed by Harvey, but the experience still plagued her.As Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) is not amused by Nick’s suggestion that his daughter Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) is the cause of Sam’s outbursts, Nick is about to run into even more trouble.
Official spoilers indicate that Tyrone will present Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) with the first chapter of John Stape’s (Graeme Hawley) book in upcoming scenes.
As Hope enters the room, she quickly hides the paper from her because she is anxious to shield Hope from her father’s sinister secrets.
Tyrone is advised by Fiz to get in touch with Jamie Kenna, the journalist who co-wrote the book with Phill Whittaker, and arrange a meeting.
But is the offender a local one? Hope discovered Phill’s laptop with his initial pages on it; could she be the one selling the stories to the Gazette?
After reading the second chapter of the book in the Gazette with horror, Fiz and Tyrone are determined to stop publishing the articles.
To discuss a course of action, they enlist Adam Barlow’s (Samuel Robertson) assistance, but they are cut off by a call from Hope’s teacher informing them that she has vanished.
Knowing where her daughter might have hidden, Fiz locates her in Victoria Garden with Sam.
Hope was upset, he says, because of the hurtful things her classmates had said to her about the articles about John.
Nick explained that he would appreciate it if Hope avoided Sam after he had seen the excerpts and learned about the events at school.
Adam also informs Fiz that while he has managed to stop any additional articles from appearing in the Gazette, it might not be enough to halt the publication of the book itself.
When Tyrone gets home and discovers Fiz in tears while explaining how Nick has forbidden Sam from seeing Hope, he is shocked.
Tyrone arrives at Nick and Leanne’s apartment in a rage and punches Nick when the door is opened.
Still in shock from the experience, Nick tells Sam he is no longer permitted to speak to Hope and commands him to turn over his walkie-talkie.
Leanne arrives at No. 9 with the intention of resolving the situation and criticizes Tyrone for punching Nick. Fiz then turns against Tyrone and claims that his unreasonable actions cost Hope her friendship with Sam.
Sam explains to Hope how Tyrone punched Nick and has been prohibited from seeing her when they run into each other at school.
Adam informs Fiz and Tyrone that with more information, they might be able to file a privacy injunction against the reporter who tricked Hope into providing information.
When Hope gets home from school, she explains that she is fully aware of Tyrone punching Nick and dispels Sam’s image as the perfect boy.
Fiz tells Nick that, according to Hope, Sam is still writing Harvey letters, and Nick rips a strip off Sam for deceiving him once more.
Will Sam eventually come clean about why he keeps writing to Harvey?
Since Sam lost his mother’s voice, they have developed a close relationship, but now that Hope knows his secret, could their friendship be over?
Sam could exact some retaliation against Hope for getting him into another scrape with Nick.
