Daisy Midgeley will soon receive a terrifying warning from Justin’s sister, which will cause her stalking ordeal to intensify in front of Coronation Street viewers.
ITV viewers have watched Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), who is being stalked by Justin Rutherfield (Andrew Still), become more and more obsessed with her in the weeks leading up to her wedding. However, the upcoming bride decides to take matters into her own hands in scenes that will air the following week, and the beloved Coronation Street character is horrified by what she discovers.
After Justin pounded Daisy with gifts she didn’t want, he became even more fixated on her, taking a delivery job to get her address and phone number.
The Rovers bartender has been living in fear as she attempts to plan her wedding to Daniel Osbourne because the neighborhood police haven’t done much to assist her (Rob Mallard).
It appears that he isn’t deterred despite her decision to take legal action by attending a Stalking Protection Order hearing this week, which would stop him from bothering her further.
Next week’s episodes of Coronation Street will feature scenes in which Daisy finally decides she’s had enough and takes matters into her own hands.
Daisy grabs her phone and starts filming Justin after being horrified to see him lurking outside in an effort to demonstrate to him what it’s like to be harassed.
Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) and Glenda (Jodie Prenger) watch from the pub in shock as she livestreams the argument on her social media.
While Justin quickly leaves, his sister Karen (Lynn Kennedy) later pays Daisy a visit and sheds some light on her brother.
She warns Daisy that Justin has a history of becoming obsessed with people and urges her to be cautious because he is dangerous.
Later, she experiences a panic attack after mistaking a delivery van for Justin when she sees one on the street.
Daisy confides in Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) and admits she is constantly watching her back out of fear that he is nearby as he tries his best to calm her down.
She tells Daniel that, with the exception of the florist, everyone they had booked for the wedding has returned in an effort to concentrate on her wedding.
She decides to ask Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), swallowing her pride, if she would like to do the flowers for the big day.
Tracy, however, makes things difficult for Daisy because she agrees, but only if Amy (Elle Mulvany) and she can serve as bridesmaids.
Will Daisy try to make her wedding as smooth as possible by biting the bullet and submitting to Tracy’s demands? Or as the big day draws near, will she be forced to look elsewhere?
Speaking about Daisy’s stalker situation, actor Andrew Still revealed he was shocked at what’s going to be happening in the future.
He commented: “I knew the beginning of the arc at first. I knew about Justin coming in as a stalker and that he could get obsessive.
“He was pitched as someone who has misplaced affections, but also with this possible darker edge in the future.”
“What you’ve seen on screen recently are as much as I knew about where the story was going.
“Then I came in and they said: ‘Well, this is maybe what we’ve got planned down the road’. It was a bit of a shock when I heard what’s going to be happening further down the line…”
