Daisy Midgeley, a bartender on Coronation Street, will soon experience an unwanted flashback as she struggles to plan her wedding and avoid Justin Rutherford’s stalking.
In recent weeks, Coronation Street viewers have watched as Daisy Midgeley (played by Charlotte Jordan) continues to be harassed by Justin (Andrew Still). The barmaid recently applied for a stalking protection order against Justin, but after Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) attacked him, it was denied. Despite constantly looking over her shoulder, Daisy is hellbent on planning her dream wedding even though a lot of her sponsors had pulled out from helping her.
ITV’s official spoilers show Daisy getting ready with her friends for her hen party.
When Daisy asks her mother Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) if she would give her away at the wedding, Jenny is overjoyed.
When Daisy mentions the hen night, Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), who is trying on her bridesmaid dress, panics and says she won’t be able to make it.
Jodie Prenger’s character Glenda Shuttleworth, who also wants to sing at the wedding, belts out tunes behind the bar in an effort to win Daisy over.
At the Bistro, where the stags are having a low-key celebration, Christina (Amy Robbins) reveals that she has planned a surprise for Daisy.
When Samantha (Laura Meredith) and Ellie (Charlotte Linighan), two old friends, show up at the party, Daisy is embarrassed.
Daisy is taken aback by their visit, but could Daisy’s old friends wind up revealing some of the barmaid’s sinister secrets?
Daisy requested Tracy to give the couple a discount on wedding flowers during the episode that aired on Friday night.
Tracy, however, made the decision to haggle with her brand-new in-law.
Daisy was given the choice between becoming her bridesmaid or having no flowers at her wedding by the owner of the flower shop.
She merely said to the future bride, “Take it or leave it.”
Recently, the actress who portrays the bartender talked about her plot and how it might develop.
Charlotte described Daisy as a feisty, self-assured character with a gob on her who is not afraid to tell people to do one if necessary when speaking about her stalker Justin with Express.co.uk and other media.
But what you see is this guy who completely strips her of her power; you have no control over how other people act or perceive events.
As a result, she feels completely helpless, and it’s sad to see Justin sort of desolate about everything that makes Daisy who she is.
“Fortunately, she is surrounded by people who love her and will support her through it, but nobody can truly relate to what she is going through.” He will therefore gradually eliminate everything that makes her, well, her.
The soap star admitted Daisy is “always on edge” and she’s “constantly looking over her shoulder”.
Charlotte continued, “She never knows when he’s going to show up. “She doesn’t know how far that delusion is going to go,” he continued, “because he is completely delusional and believes they are in this loving relationship and somehow Daniel is an obstacle for them.”
