After the tragic loss of her new pet, Hope Stape has made it her mission to exact revenge.
Viewers of Coronation Street have been following Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) as she has grown fixated on finding out more information about her deceased serial killer father over the past few weeks. Hope’s parents Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) and Tyronne Dobbs (Alan Halsall) brought her a pet to help amuse her. Although Hope is about to act now that the animal has been killed in recent scenes.
Hope and Tyronne decide it’s time for the child to have a pet in an effort to divert her attention from learning more about her murderous father.
Hope was overjoyed to have a pet when she brought a chinchilla home from the store, but the connection was short-lived.
Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) and Beth Tinker (Lisa George) enquire as to whether Fiz and Tyronne will be able to care for their dog Peanut when they announce that they will be taking a vacation.
Concern crept in after deciding to take in the dog when Peanut spotted Cilla the Chinchilla and began to growl.
Later, as Peanut watched from his basket, Hope was horrified to see that her new pet’s cage was open and that she had found its lifeless body.
The situation is about to change when Hope swears to exact revenge on Cilla in scenes that will air the following week.
She tells Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) about her plan and requests his assistance in making it happen.
Later, in the factory, after apologizing to Fiz for the pet’s passing, Beth insults Cilla by comparing her to a posh rat, setting off the woman.
Cara Connor (Alison King) is compelled to intervene to separate the two women as things escalate before a fight breaks out.
Sam, who initially resisted getting involved, eventually follows Hope’s advice and tricks Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) into giving Vin-Diesel the stuffed weasel from the barbershop.
Hope carefully places Vin Diesel’s mouth over the skin of her arm, her plan having been successful, and she commands Sam to leave.
She screams as she walks up to Peanut the dog with the stuffed animal around her arm.
Hope tries to slink out of the backyard with the stuffed weasel, but Hope’s father Tyronne spots her and confronts her.
Hope runs home in tears after Beth confronts her about her dog, claiming Beth slapped her in the face.
Fiz and Tyronne are furious and rush to confront Beth, who insists that nothing of the sort ever occurred.
Fiz suggests to Beth that the four of them get together and have a conversation about what happened in order to uncover the truth.
Although the soon-to-be teen returns home furious and storms out, she doesn’t seem particularly impressed with the ambush.
thesuns.info has a theory that after her pet dies, Hope goes back and listens to her dad’s interview tapes to console herself.
Could the young person, however, be moved by his words and kill Peanut after her original plan failed?
