Sean Tulley, a resident of Coronation Street, was devastated when Laurence Reeves left the cobblestones earlier this month. However, some fans believe he might be connected to serial killer Pat Phelan given that his return is soon.
After a string of failed relationships, Sean Tulley (Antony Cotton) of Coronation Street believed he had finally found a lifelong partner in Laurence Reeves (Robert Shaw Cameron). But for some time, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) had his doubts about the newcomer, and it didn’t take him long to learn a sinister secret about Laurence.
In addition, Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) found a photo of Laurence and his late wife, who was seen holding Mitch, in another picture.
But when they spoke to Mitch—whose real name was Andy Mitchell—they learned some worrying information about Laurence.
Laurence was forced to confess to Sean during a recent Coronation Street episode that he had an affair with Mitch but was not a murderer.
Laurence eventually dumped Sean despite Sean’s best efforts, and he was last seen leaving the cobbles.
As Todd called out to him, Laurence sarcastically said: “Make this quick as I’m not in the mood for talking.”
“He [Sean] said you just split up with him,” Todd continued.
“This is all my fault, I put those daft ideas into his head because of what Mitch said.
“Please. You gotta give Sean another chance.”
Laurence hit back: “I gave him a second chance at Christmas and here we are again.
“There’s clearly no trust. It’s not that he just thought I was a murderer that’s bad enough.”
“You don’t trust someone so you assume they’re a killer?” he added before walking off.
Sean, on the other hand, was not buying Laurence’s excuses and thought he left because they had revealed his murderous past as he sat with Dylan (Liam Mccheyne), Todd, and Eileen.
Social media has been used by many fans to discuss their opinions and theories about the plot.
Even though many stated they “don’t trust” Laurence, one astute admirer thinks he has a sinister connection to serial killer Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre).
Although Laurence’s return to the cobbles hasn’t been confirmed, if he is connected to Pat, it won’t be long before the truth is revealed, and history may soon be repeating itself.
Pat and Eileen shared a romantic connection, and in 2018, after an altercation, Pat was believed to have drowned.
Ryan The Soapking speculated on Twitter that Pat and Laurence were related.
He stated: “Laurence is undoubtedly a murderer. He might be related to Pat Phelan #Corrie, in my opinion.”
Several people have compared Pat and Laurence, with @ShakyWoon writing: “Todd likens Phelan and Lawrence! #Corrie.”
Stephen Reid is a different serial killer who has let loose on the paving stones (Todd Boyce).
Some viewers claim that Pat’s reign of terror and the murderer’s narrative are comparable.
For the next two or three years, Kathleen wrote, “Here we go another Pat Phelan, Ffs script writers change the bloody record, can’t stand Stephen’s creepy sham of a man #Corrie.” (sic)
Den contrasted Billy’s (Daniel Brocklebank’s) conversation with Stephen to one he had earlier with Pat.
The fact that Billy had a similar conversation with Pat Phelan shortly after hitting Andy Carver in the head with a laptop, he said, “should be setting off some alarm bells with the resident vicar, no?” (sic)
If Pat and Laurence are related, Laurence might go back to the cobbles to exact revenge on Sean, Todd, and Eileen for accusing him of being a murderer.
