Fans of Coronation Street have observed the ongoing argument between Steve McDonald and Tim Metcalfe over the recent episodes.
The friendship between the two hasn’t exactly been easy since Steve (Simon Gregson) returned to the ITV soap opera last week. It all started when Tim (Joe Duttine) noticed that his friend was wearing his favorite jacket, which his wife Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) had donated to a clothing exchange. Although it appears that a third party is forced to intervene in scenes that will air the following week.
Fans of Coronation Street observed Steve wheeling himself into the bar on Tuesday night after his trip to Spain.
He lied, saying that he was chasing a mugger when the accident happened in order to gain sympathy for his broken leg.
Later, Steve admitted to his friend Tim that his wife Tracy would never know that he had seriously injured himself while slipping at a foam party where there were lots of girls.
Nevertheless, Tim made the decision to tell Tracy everything when Steve refused to return the jacket that Sally had given in the clothes swap against his wishes.
Tim discovered a scratchcard with a £250 win in the pocket, which caused the argument to worsen even further.
Tim reminds Steve that the jacket and scratch card are both his, and when Steve won’t return them, the two argue.
It appears that the ongoing jacket discussion intensifies as they argue at work in scenes that will air next week.
The two are still at each other’s throats, and Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is compelled to step in because she’s had enough.
She forces them both into the lawyer’s office and demands that Adam (Sam Robertson) mediate the dispute and put it to rest.
It appears that other people have grown tired of the two men’s argument over the jacket in addition to Eileen.
By promising not to bring up Tim’s friendship with Aggie ever again if he forgets about the item, Sally tries to win him over.
Will Tim be tempted to back down in order to make peace with his wife? Or will his obstinacy win and the conflict go on?
According to an thesuns.info theory, Tim decides to be the bigger person and accepts Sally’s offer.
He maintains his close friendship with Aggie by letting Steve know he can keep the jacket.
Although Sally might start to regret her deal when she sees the couple together as her jealousy and frustration with the situation grow.
In order for his character to have a broken leg, actor Simon Gregson revealed that his own real-life injury had to be written into the script.
He revealed to The Mirror that he had broken his leg. I rolled my ankle outside the back of the house literally just now.
“It was done in six places, and while I can now drive, I can’t imagine walking across muddy fields.
“Because if I make a mistake, everything starts over.”
