Hope Stape, a young cast member on Coronation Street, recently accused Peanut the dog of biting her, setting off a fight.
Isabella Flanagan’s character Hope recently discovered her chinchilla, Cilla, dead and accused Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) and Beth Tinker’s dog Peanut (Lisa George) of being to blame. She claimed the dog bit her on Monday night and vowed to exact revenge, which prompted Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) to say the dog should be put down.
Fans believe they have discovered the cause of the fight that broke out between Beth and Hope during Wednesday night’s episode.
Recently, when Tyrone saw her sneaking out of the backyard with the stuffed weasel she had stolen from David Platt’s (Jack P Shepherd’s) barbershop, she realized that her lies had finally caught up with her.
Tyrone rushed out of the house as she was leaving and enquired, “Where has that come from? How are you using it, by the way?
Why do you own David Platt’s weasel, I ask you? Inform me that you didn’t rob it. He loves that old, moth-eaten thing, believe it or not.
She stated another lie, saying: “Simply put, Sam [Blakeman] borrowed it for me, and I was going to return it. I was unable to speak to you.”
Tyrone, however, demanded that his daughter tell the truth because he didn’t believe what she was saying.
Tyrone noticed Hope had removed the bandages from the area where Peanut is said to have bit her before she left for school. He then realized Hope had hurt herself with the weasel statue.
She spoke the truth for the first time, saying: “I had to make it seem authentic. Cilla the chinchilla was killed by Peanut, and I was taking revenge.”
Later in the factory, Fiz went up to Kirk and Beth to apologize and to be honest about what Hope had done.
“It turns out that Peanut didn’t actually bite Hope, so the entire Peanut situation has been a huge mistake. Evidently, it was some horrible, pointless prank.
I called the police and told them everything was a misunderstanding, and as far as they are concerned, they are relieved that it is now over.
When Beth later confronted Hope in the street, Hope yelled: “I’m going to get revenge on Cilla!” “I should also receive an apology from you.
“My Cilla is dead. Your stupid little dog is still alive.”
Hope returned home in tears and revealed Beth had slapped her in the face on the street as the dog drama persisted.
Fiz and Tyrone were shocked by the accusation, so they confronted Beth about it, but she vehemently denied everything.
Some fans, however, have asserted that Hope was telling the truth and Beth had yelled at the child.
Hope, the girl who cried wolf, might actually be telling the truth this time, according to @pam debeauvoir’s theory.
Beth has allegedly done this, as @theypd suspected, and @TJScaverton concurred, saying, “Why do I actually believe Hope about Beth slapping her?”
Hope might be telling the truth this time, but she has lied so many times, according to @k heyrab.
But as @MeeshyJay pointed out in a tweet, not all viewers bought Hope’s story. “Hope the fire-starting little murderer wouldn’t know what the truth was if it slapped her in the face,” he wrote.
“Hope needs locking up, same old nonsense,” @tellyaddict40 echoed.
@VampLover27 raged: “Omg You better stop lying… Beth is now being taken into custody.” (sic)
